Chapter 8~Ambush

~Elizabeth's POV~

I woked the next morning and I was outside panicking of how I am going to tell Charlie about the truth. "How I am going to tell her, Charlie, William has a plot, I was part of it, but I didn't want to do it, it's because I love you, gosh, she won't believe me, but I had to try..."

I went back inside and found Charlie talking to Cassidy. "Charlie, I need to talk to you," I said as Charlie got my attention. "Charlie, I don't want you talking to her, I want to talk to her," said Henry. I was shocked, had Henry found out that I was with Dad this whole time?

~Charlie's POV~

I was happy that Dad was getting to know Elizabeth as they left the cove.

~Elizabeth's POV~

Henry told me about the real story behind Mom and I found out that her followers killed her and not Henry. "I never heard that story of Clara before, she was a killer..." I said shocked. "Fire is a killer..." replied Henry as we approach the mountainside, where the fire spread down to the ice cream parlor. He blew the dust to reveal a sprout. "Sometimes what left behind can grow better than the generation before," said Henry.  "If given the chance."

Then we heard an evil laugh and I knew what was going to happen. Suddenly, Dad's followers appeared. And then Dad, Michael, Slyvia, and Chris. "No," I mumbled. "Hello, Henry, why you're so alone?"

  Henry growled. "Well done, Elizabeth, just as planned!" said Dad with an evil chuckle. "You!" yelled Henry. "No, I hadn't anything to do with this!" I explained. "Attack!" yelled Dad.

~Author's POV~

All of William's followers punched him, kick him, bit him, and slashed him with pocket knives or metal claws. "No!" yelled Elizabeth as she tried to back them off with her fists, but Slyvia kicked her. The followers pushed Henry down the cliff. "Yes, we got him!" said William as his followers, Michael, Sylvia, and Chris went down. "Remember your training, as a unit!" yelled William as he went down the cliff. Chris bit Henry's face, but Henry pushed him off and ran up the logs. "Elizabeth, get him!" yelled William. But Elizabeth ran. Michael yelled out "I am doing it for you, father!"

Michael ran up the logs and used his metal claws and grabbed Henry's leg. Henry yelped in pain. "This is my life for glory!" growled Michael. But one of the logs broke causing Michael to fall and Henry escaped leaving the top logs to crush him. Charlie, Sammy, Gabriel, and Jeremy found Henry limping on his way to the cove. "Dad!" yelled Charlie and Sammy as they went over to him. "Dad, talk to me." said Sammy. "Elizabeth, ambush..." moaned Henry as he fainted to the ground. Sammy, Gabriel and Jeremy picked him up as they went into the cove.
