Greyson was laying in bed, clicking away at his laptop when the door opened. He slammed the device shut, then saw it was Levi who had walked in with a suspicious look on his face.
"What're you doing?" he asked, climbing into bed and laying his head on Greyson's shoulder.
Greyson opened the computer once again, showing Levi the screen. "Since demons aren't born the way humans are and we're beings of Hell, we don't really have a calendar to show us when we were born, so we can choose a day to be our so-called birthday," he explained, glancing at the door to make sure Elijah didn't come in. "Elijah's is on May 15, so I decided to schedule a trip for him."
Levi's eyes widened in excitement. "What're you planning? When's your birthday? I have to get him a gift... I don't even know what he likes!" he exclaimed, trying to stand up, but Greyson stopped him.
"Relax, babe," Greyson said, rubbing his hand on Levi's stomach to calm him down. "We still have a few days until we leave, so that way we're at the destination on his birthday. And my birthday is December 12."
Levi nodded, taking a deep breath and relaxing. "Where are we going?" he asked, peering at the screen. "California?"
"Elijah's always wanted to go to Disneyland for some reason," he said, rolling his eyes lovingly. "He loves theme parks."
"I've never been there but my mother did when she was a kid and said we would go when I was tall enough to go on the rides," Levi said, smiling at the fond memory of his mother.
Greyson laughed. "Baby, I still don't think you're tall enough," he said, earning a weak hit to the chest from Levi. "Maybe we can sign a waiver."
"It's not my fault!" Levi said, flopping back onto one of the many pillows on the bed. "You shouldn't bully me."
"I'm not, it's just the facts," Greyson said, booking their tickets and hotel room. "We're going to pack his bag and surprise him. And taking him on the trip can be both of our gift to him."
Levi shook his head. "I want to get him something special from me," he said, sliding off the bed and going to their closet to change into real clothes. "Can I use your sweatshirt?"
"Why ask when you're going to do it anyway?"
"Thank you!"
Greyson's heart warmed at the happiness melting from Levi's voice. He had been feeling so grateful and appreciative lately, now that he had both of his soulmates and they were with him to protect and love.
Levi walked out in one of Greyson's sweatshirts that he'd gotten from Las Vegas when he and Elijah visited years before.
"You look cute," Greyson said, looking up from his computer.
Levi blew Greyson a kiss. "Elijah's probably going to come in here soon to see what we're doing, so you might want to put that away," he said, entering the bathroom and trying to tame his always unruly hair. "I'm hungry, too, so we should go out for breakfast."
Greyson closed his tab and put his computer back on the desk. He followed Levi to the bathroom and wrapped his hands around his waist, kissing the human's neck.
"I can think of a better use of our time," he whispered, making Levi shake his head.
"Nope! My ass hurts," he said, turning around and pecking Greyson's lips. "Maybe at the celebration."
Greyson's eyes widened at that. "How do you know about that?" he asked, trying to remember if he had told Levi about it.
"I asked Kayden," Levi said, hopping onto the counter so he was eye level with Greyson. "And I want to go. I know you're worried and hesitant, but I also know you want to go and I want to go, too!"
