Levi couldn't believe that he never knew about the library before. It was incredible and the books held content that spoke of Hell and other things that were reality for him.

He sat in one of the comfy chairs, diving into a book about immortality. It had recently occurred to him that he wouldn't live forever like Elijah and Greyson would, so he was interested in learning about immortality and how to achieve it.

He'd asked Kayden about it, but Kayden had excused himself and said he didn't want to talk about it.

So, Levi was on his own.

From what he'd read, most supernatural creatures were immortal, such as vampires, demons, and incubus', but shifters only had really long lifespans and would die eventually unless made immortal by another creature.

Oatmeal was curled in his lap as Levi read about vampires. They were known to make people immortal for a price, and that price was often their freedom. Like demons, the could mark the people they wanted to keep and it was more forceful and permanent than demon marking was, because only a powerful vampire could remove the mark, and even then the victim was usually stuck as a vampire and had no way to escape their newfound immortality.

Levi knew he'd never turn to a vampire for help, but he wanted to be immortal. He wanted to spend eternity with his soulmates, since they all belonged together. No part of him wanted to imagine the pain that Elijah and Greyson would go through if he were to die and leave them alone, especially because his pure soul would not hold a place in Hell.

"What are you reading?" Elijah asked, walking into the room with a cup of iced tea. "I brought you some tea!"

"Thanks," Levi said, putting down his book to take the tea, and Elijah took the book and opened it up.

Elijah frowned at the book, as it was an informational book and not a novel like he expected.

"Why are you reading about immortality?" he asked, scrunching his nose up at it.

Levi shrugged. "I'm just curious," he said, trying to take the book back but Elijah held it away from him. "Give it back, E."

"Nope!" Elijah said, popping the P. "Tell me why you're reading it."

Levi groaned and got up to grab the book, but Elijah shifted and spread his wings, lifting himself into the air so Levi couldn't catch it.

"Give me the book!" Levi said, irritated as he flopped back into the chair and began to sip at the tea. "Did you spike this?"

Elijah landed on the ground and shifted back, his clothes torn from his wings popping out and his whole body growing.

"Maybe," he said, a wide grin on his face. "Why do you want to read this?"

Levi shrugged. "Well... I'm not immortal and you and Greyson are," he said, moving his hands from his lap so Oatmeal could hop in his lap. "I'm just... I'm interested. Can I become immortal like you guys?"
