"Levi!" Fredi exclaimed, hugging Levi once he put on his apron. "I haven't seen you in a few days! How was your weekend?!"
Levi pushes Fredi off of him, but there was a small smile on his face. Being with Elijah and Greyson had made him into a happier person and he could tell that Fredi loved his new and improved attitude.
"It was nice," Levi said in a soft voice, thinking back to the date and intimate moments he spent with his beautiful soulmates. "How was yours?"
Fredi wasn't used to Levi asking him questions in return, so he flashed him a bright grin. "It was fantastic! I called the travel agency and booked a trip to go see my mother for a few weeks, and Rita offered me paid leave!" he exclaimed.
Levi's heart warmed at that. Their boss and owner of the cafe, Rita, was always so kind and helped her employees out of tough situations. They hadn't seen her much lately because she was visiting her daughter who'd just given birth almost every day, so Fredi had taken over as the shift manager.
"That's great, Fredi," Levi said, thankful that business was a little slow since it was the slow hours of the morning when everyone had gotten to work and ended the early rush. "How long has it been since you've see your mom?"
Fredi paused to think. "She hasn't gotten citizenship yet and I had to stay here for a couple of years so mine didn't get revoked so I'd guess a little under three years," he said, his eyes falling a little. "I call her every night, though, so it's not that bad."
"I'm sorry," Levi said, knowing that Fredi was trying to laugh away his sadness. "You'll see her soon, though."
"Yes, I will!" Fredi exclaimed, going back to his normal, chirpy self. "May I ask you a question, Levi?"
Levi nodded as he washed out an empty milk jug and threw it into the recycling bin.
"Are you... what's that word?" Fredi paused, thinking about the word he was trying to use. "A male who fancies males?"
Levi giggled. "Gay?" he asked.
Fredi narrowed his eyes. "Is that the word? I thought that meant 'happy.'"
"It did a long time ago but now it means boys who like boys," he said, sitting on his stool at the register. "Is it a problem if I am?"
"No, of course not!" Fredi exclaimed. "I was just curious because for a while a girl came in to see you and now a boy comes to pick you up."
Levi picked at a lose thread on his long sleeve. "Yeah, my girlfriend broke up with me but I didn't ever love her," he said, tracing the long scar that laid under his shirt.
Fredi hummed as a customer walked in. "Do you love your boyfriend now?"
Levi's heart sped up at the words, but not from fear. Instead, it was from excitement.
"Yeah, I think I do," Levi responded, and Fredi smiled at him sweetly as Levi took the customer's order, whispering to himself, "I think I do."

Elijah had been in an irritable mood all day.
He'd spent his valuable time cleaning Greyson's office and then he saw Greyson openly flirting with a customer. It didn't matter to him that it was only to sell an expensive ring; Elijah was pissed.
And then, during the lunch break, Greyson was too busy to fuck him!
After their first intimate moment with Levi, Elijah began to feel more comfortable having sex without both of his soulmates in the room. Because while it was about the three of them, it was also about Elijah and Levi, Elijah and Greyson, and Greyson and Levi, because they all had different connections that made their relationship the amazing thing it was.
