The Old Ones are a collection of the world oldest, and most powerful vampire hybrids. They are lead by Eve Sinclair from the Vampire Saviour Saga and her clan of hybrids.
LOCATION
It is known that they live in a place called "The Other World." a world where the vampires roam.
HISTORY
Much like the Voltouri in the Twilight Saga, The Old Ones are considered supernatural royalty among the vampire clans.
They take an unhealthy interest in Scarlet Rose when they learn that she is the first supernatural being to be born of wolf/vampire/witch/human and appears to be more powerful then the Old Ones. More powerful than Eve herself, the original tribrid.
BOOK 1
In Daybreakers Book 1, the Old Ones aren't seen, but they are mentioned quite a lot and are seen as the vampires all vampires fear.
Book 2
When he learns that the Old Ones are in town, Salem goes to the Old Ones to ask permission to marry Emma. They decline, but Eve changes their mind when she meets Emma (not telling her that they are family as they are descended from a centuries old bloodline)
Emma and Salem do get Eve's blessing, but she warns them that what they desire comes at a very hefty price and that price is something that she knows is coming so very soon .... Emma's unborn child.
BOOK 3
In Book 3, The Old Ones are not present, but they do send spies to watch over Emma
BOOK 4
In "Emma's Story - " The Old Ones can't make the wedding, but they do send a gift.
In "Mason's Story" Thy do hear about Emma's miracle pregnancy and they send a messenger to observe the pregnancy. When Emma does deliver, they turn up wanting to see the child. Mason brutally attacks one of the Old Ones and they retreat swearing revenge.
In "Salem's Story," The Old Ones come back for Scarlet-Rose intent on taking her back to the Other World with them.
