The Phoenix Pack, with Aaron:

The whole group walked up the stairs and when they turned the corner, something was seriously wrong.

"A-Aaron...where's the dude..." Blaze asked. Everyone's eyes shot to the bloody spot on the floor.

"I don't know! He was there! I knocked him out right there!" Aaron started to panic. He was visibly gripping onto Aphmau tighter.

"If we find him we can take him. It's 6 against 1, but for now we need to get Aph to safety." Katelyn cut in as an attempt to calm her friend down.

When they reached the door, the silence was broken by a deafening sound.

BANG
BANG

"AARON! APHMAU!"

Pain shot through Aaron's whole body as the bullet impacte his upper back, more towards his shoulder. He dropped to the floor, still tying to protect Aphmau, that's when it hit him.

Aphmau got shot too.

He felt the whole world crumbling under his feet. It felt like his heart was being squeezed and crushed by a cage of needles. There were hot tears running down his face when he looked at her. The bullet had pierced her shoulder directly. Everyone and everything was inaudible when he stood up and ran, carrying Aphmau out of the house.

His legs gave out under me and he fell to the ground. Aphmau and him rolled onto the grass next to the house. His legs didn't give out from pain, but pure fear. He was shaking uncontrollably.

"Hey Aaron..?" She was losing blood ridiculously fast.

"Babe, please save your breath..." Waves of tears started pouring down his face.

"We have...Matching bullet holes." She laughed between coughs.

"That...shouldn't have been so funny to me." Aaron tried not to laugh, as pain was still seething from his body.

"I can't move at all..." Aphmau wispered from beside him.

"We're gonna be o-" A gunshot erupted from the house. He held Aphmau protectively when they noticed the other 5 werewolves run out of the house.

Aaron mustered up all of his strength and called out to them. "We're over here!"

They all ran over and the 2 werewolves the group found with aphmau quickly crouched by her side. "APHMAU!"

"Hey." She whispered, a small grin spread across her face.

"Aph...I'm sorry that I called you out on the fence that day...I promise I didn't know..." The werewolf with blue ears grabbed her hand and she weakly squeezed back.

"Sorry for taking you back to him Aphmau. You know I had my reasons..." The other one said, tears running down her face.

"Save your confessions for when me and my boyfriend aren't bleeding out!" She was gritting her teeth to deal with the pain.

"Aaron, Aph, Zoey is here." Katelyn said from behind the two, Zoey and her looked out of breath.

"When- When did you find the time to run back to the pack?!" Aphmau seemed thankful but Aaron couldn't find it in him to give a reaction. He was dizzy and couldn't say or do anything. Everything sounded and looked distorted, he couldn't focus on anything. He felt his head hit the grass with a thud. He could only hear a distant cry.

"Please don't leave me." He heard Aphmau whisper. He could only hear her, and she was crying. He held onto life for her.

After what felt like forever of just sitting in the darkness, he was able to pry open his eyes.

Bright lights filled his vision. He could only react by covering his eyes. He was in the infirmary at the pack. He had tubes and stitches in his arms and all of a sudden, the pain came registered. Aaron shot up and eveyone in the room jumped out of their seats.

"Holy shit! Ow! Where's Aphmau?" Of course his first thought was to find his luna. He looked around the room desperately, only to see a curtain next to him. He stood up. He could hear everyone telling him to sit back down but no way in hell was he gonna do that when his girlfriend was on the other side of the curtain and in pain just as he was.

Aaron sat next to her and everyone was silent, besides Garroth who was still trying to get him to sit back down. He grabbed her hand and kissed the back of it, knowing that she was awake.

"Heyy Aaron~" She whispered, holding out the hey.

"How're you feeling Babe?" He quietly asked.

"I mean, besides for the fact that my shoulder hurts like a bitch and I almost saw my boyfriend die in front of me, I think I'm doing pretty good." She said, sarcasm evidently shining through her chosen tone of voice.

"Ha ha very funny." He rolled his eyes at her.

"Ya know what I think IS pretty funny?" Aphmau looked at him with a smirk on her face.
"Matching bullet holes." They could hear everyone behind them stifling laughter.

"But anyways, go and lay down. I bet we'll have some time to talk judging by the fact that they aren't gonna let us do anything for the next couple weeks, so get comfortable."

Thank irene she survived...
