"Mummy, mummy, mummy wake up it's beach day today" My 3 year old Son Jackson shouted.
"Ok. I'm up, I'm up" I replied giggling. "Let's have some breakfast first then we can get ready and head out"
"YAAYY" he shouted in excitement. As I began to make breakfast Jackson insisted on helping me, "Mummy I do it..I do it" I smiled at his tone of voice, he cracked the eggs into the bowl and clapped at his achievement.
Once it was all cooked Jackson sat in his seat and patiently waited for me to put his plate in front of him. "Dis looks yummy mummy" I caressed his cheek. "Eat up baby, we've got a fun day ahead"
Time skip
"We're here." He clapped his hands. "I need you to be on your best behaviour, don't run onto the road and don't run off without me. I want you to wait beside me while I get everything out the car ok?"
"Yes mummy" he replied smiling.
As I got the blanket and picnic bags out Jackson stood patiently. He watched as the cars drove by, the kids playing with their families and seagulls flying around taking peoples food.
"Let's go" I held out my hand for him to hold onto.
After a little walk we found the perfect spot, I laid the blanket down, got out some water and watched him play.
"Hey you munchkin, come and get some sun cream please"
As I was applying sun cream to Jackson's face I couldn't help but notice a very handsome guy. His dark brown hair was damp which shone in the sun. He wore a shirt which was unbuttoned showing his toned body, he had the most amazing smile. Once i'd finished applying the sun cream I told Jackson to go and have some fun in.
"Mummy. Mummy. Watch me" Jackson ran along the sand and did a cartwheel, but sadly during mid air he flipped and landed on his back making a loud thud. The look on his face showed it all, within seconds he started crying. As I ran over to him the handsome guy I saw earlier was already by his side.
"Mummy" he cried. I picked him up and brought him close to my body. "Sweetheart your ok, it's alright" his head was laid in the crook of my neck.
"Wait mummy?" The guy asked shocked.
"Yep, that's me. Thank you for helping him" I turned and walked away with a smile. I placed Jackson down onto the blanket and cuddled him close to my body. "Come on let's have some food. And cheer you up"
I grabbed the picnic bag and gave him his pre-made sandwiches, along with some crisps, water and fruit.
While we were eating I noticed that Jackson's eyes were glued to a group of guys who were playing football. He always loved playing football, me and him would often go to the park and play. Sham he didn't have a dad to also share that passion with.
"Mummy, can I go play with them?" He pointed "No baby, we don't know them" I said running my hands through his hair. "But they seem nice, one of them helped me" "I know but it's best you stay here"
He sighed in sadness then carried on eating his food while watching them. After we finished Jackson was now back to his happy self, he got out a bat and ball and wanted to play with me. As Jackson was about to throw the ball towards me a football came rolling in his direction, he looked at the ball then back toward me.
"Hey buddy, can we have our ball back please?"
I turned my head to see the same guy who helped my son.
"Kick it Jackson" I spoke softly. He then kicked the football back towards the guy with all his power. "Wow, that was a great kick" the guy said shocked
"Mummy, can I please go and play with them?" He asked turning to me while smiling. I bit my lip softly.
"He'll be fine with us, he's only here. It's just myself my hyungs and maknae's"
"Ok, but not for long" I told Jackson. "Come play with us too Mummy" he shouted. As we all began kicking the ball back and forth i felt a soft smile rise on my lips.
As I kicked the ball i suddenly I felt someone's body crash into mine. As I started to fall backwards i felt a strong pair of arms wrap around my waist holding me up. "Sorry gorgeous" He spoke.
"It's alright" I smiled. As he pulled me up I could feel a pair of eyes watching me, I looked over to see Jackson smiling. I looked back to the guy to see him also smiling, his arms were still wrapped around my waist, whereas mine were around his neck.
"Well it's getting late. We should get going" I spoke breaking the silence.
My arms fell from his neck, I took hold of Jackson's hand and walked away. We grabbed our belongings and walked back to the car. I strapped him into his car seat and put everything into the boot, as I opened the car door I heard a voice shouting. I looked over my shoulder to see the guy running towards me. My heart started beating fast.
"Few...glad I caught you before you left." He spoke out of breath. "Why?" I asked confused "W-well, I..umm. I wondered if you wanted to go out with me sometime?"
I looked back to see Jackson now asleep in his car seat, I bit my lip. "I'm free tomorrow afternoon" I replied smiling. A huge smile plastered onto the guys lips. "Great. Bring your son too, shall we say twelve o'clock at the pier?" He softly speaks. "Sounds perfect" I smiled.
He leaned toward and placed a soft kiss on my cheek, I began to blush. "See you tomorrow beautiful"
I didn't even know his name.
