Lauren's POV

I was at my friends The Vamps apartment, Connor, James, Brad, and Tristan. I asked to stay at their place for a couple of weeks or until Camila calls me back, and they happily made me feel like I'm at home. They were the only few people I know who get me. They know who I really am, and they accept me for who I am. We have been close friends for years, and they are like family to me. 

I was on the couch, and we were in the living room watching The Vampire Diaries as usual and smoking weed, drinking getting high. The doorbell rang as the pizza delivery guy came and gave us our pizza. We were just chilling. 

"So what happened between you and Camila? Why are you guys taking a 'break'"? Brad asked, using air quotes as he said break. 

"Because I was thinking; I was too busy thinking deep in my head while we were having sex. She said I am too in my head and not at the moment, and we should be communicating. Then I was stupid to mention that I liked sex better when we were sneaking around and doing it publicly where we could get caught. Then she said that our past relationship was toxic because of the sneaking around, and well, I agree with her." 

Brad sigh. Brad was always good at giving me relationship advice. He has been giving me advice since we met, and I always thank him for it. 

"Lo listen. Honestly, risky sex is fun, but it's not the best sex. Risky sex is not real sex, even if you both enjoy it. What's best is the two of you locked in a private room and enjoying each other's company making love to each other. Camila is right about the past because you should be in the present moment, and if you can't be at the moment, you are missing out on a lot with spending time with each other in the relationship you have. When you have each other, you should cherish it and never miss out on anything because you will regret it. You don't want to lose her. You should go back to her and apologize try to move forward together in the relationship instead of 'taking a break' apart. A couple must move forward, not leave things behind." 

I looked down on the floor in an uncomfortable silence between us for a few seconds. 

"You're right." 

"Now, I suggest you call Karla." 

"Camila." I corrected him. 

"Call Camila and tell her you're sorry and that you're ready to listen and that you will be present at the moment, and you want to work this out in the relationship and fix this in the relationship," Brad said. 

"What if I can't find the words to say. Then what would I do?". 

"Use your emotions to express yourself. Make her believe you by showing her how you feel." 

"Easier said than done." 

Having this chat with Brad made me think a lot about my choices. Meanwhile, the other guys were distracted watching The Vampire Diaries and playing video games on the Nintendo Switch. I decided to leave them alone for a while to get some time to think about what I should say when I go see her. 

Camila's POV 

I was at home with Dinah talking about what happened and why we decided to take a break, but now that I am thinking about her, I really want her back, and I would do anything to make her happy. Dinah gave me some good advice, and she said some pretty wise words that were pretty shocking to me. She said we should talk and work it out together instead of taking a 'break' because things don't work out when we're in a 'break.' Things always go wrong. 

I believe her I should probably call Lauren and tell her to get over here, so we can talk. Or apologize for starting the fight in the first place. 

As soon as I opened the door to leave my house Lauren was at the door standing in the position with her hand up in the air looking like she was about to knock. 

We were both surprised to see each other. 

"Lauren what are you doing here?". 

"Uh-I don't know. I wanted to talk to you if that's ok but it looks like you are about to leave. Sorry, I'll just go." 

I pulled Lauren's wrist in the door and closed it behind her as she was in my house. Her back was pressed against the door and I kissed her passionately out of the element of surprise. 

"I missed you. I wanted to apologize I was actually leaving to go look for you just now." 

"You were the one who wanted to take a break," Lauren said. 

"I know but that was a mistake. You see, Dinah and I had a conversation earlier. She gave me advice. I was wrong for asking to take a break. The last thing I want is for us to end breaking up. We should fix whatever this is now."

"That's funny because I had the same conversation earlier with Brad. He's wise once you get to know him." 

"I haven't seen your friends since the day we met." 

"Yeah that was a good day. But we shouldn't be talking about the past. You know, our relationship being toxic and all." 

"Sit. I was wrong about that. Our relationship was never toxic. I shouldn't have said that because it was never toxic it never would be toxic because I have you. I'm sorry." 

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that it was better back then and I will try to be more at the moment I promise. I won't think about the past I won't bring it up during sex I promise I will change." 

"I promise the same thing." 

"Can you guys just kiss and makeup already!". Dinah said as I forgot she was here the whole time. We were probably disturbing her TV show. 

"Want to make up?". I asked.

Lauren smiled. That second we got into a passionate make-out session I was pinned on the wall her body was leaned against mine we couldn't take our lips off each other. That second I forgot we weren't alone as I loudly moaned into our kiss. 

"That's my cue to get out. Bye."

 Dinah turned off the TV grabbed her stuff and left. 

Makeup sex is the best sex, this was going to be a long night.
