Cleaning Confessions Matt x reader

I hummed as I went about the lodge on pick up duty with Matt.

"Still can't believe you did that."

"I said I was sorry."

"You thought i had a crush on Emily?! Emily of all people." He laughed and i threw an empty can at him.

"I can't help it. You've been doing that heart eyes thing you do when you have a crush. You were doing it to emily so of course i thought you-"

"You're always sitting next to her!" I froze but he kept going.

"Why can't you take a hint? Everytime I try to flirt you always think it's aimed at someone else. Why do you think that it's such a surprise that I like you? I mean have you seen yourself?"

He stepped closer.

"The way you smile and your eyes light up and crinkle with every joke. The softness of your voice soothing me after a hangover. The way you sing when you're cleaning and your laugh. Honestly, you are the most breathtaking person i have ever met and you don't give yourself the time of day."

"You- you like my laugh?" He paused and beamed letting out a little laughter.

"That's what you got from all of that?"

"And that you like me." He smiled and opened his arms as if asking permission. I closed the gap and wrapped my arms around his shoulders. He pulled back and smiled letting out a breathy chuckle.

"Can't believe I finally plucked up the courage to tell you." I pecked his cheek.

"I'm glad you did."

"Are we...would you like....will you date me?" I laughed and nodded.

"Why not? I like you, you like me."

"You're so cheesy you're turning into barney." I fake cringed and pulled away.

"I didn't think you could ruin the moment but you did." He rolled his eyes.

"That doesn't matter. You just admitted you like me too."

"And you just called me Barney." He laughed and tied up the trash bags before leaving them by the door.

"You want to erm...watch a movie? I can fix up some popcorn." I smiled.

"I'd love to."
