It was Art and we had to recreate The Scream, or at least try to. I took a seat next to Court and discussed my plan with her.
"Well, my plan is to make him fall for me. I act like I like him and then I'm going try to kiss him but then I'll quickly slap him and humiliate him. It'll be perfect. I'll give him a piece of my mind and tell him how easy it was to trick him. And he's not going to see it coming!", I explained the story to Court.
"Why not actually kiss him and confess your love for him? It's so obvious you like him! You're just playing hard to get!" she replied.
"Stop saying that! I don't like him! Anyways, the plan is gonna be great and he'll feel so embarrassed and he's going to learn never to mess with me again.", I was so proud of my plan. I was a genius.
"Fine. But you have to make it believable.", she said, finally agreeing with me.
"Of course. I'll look my best and act super flirty."
"You don't even know how to flirt."
"Isn't it just twirling your hair and batting your eyes?"
"No! You have to kind of touch him and smile at him in the corridors and wink and smirk and basically become him!"
"Oh ok. That's going to be easy."
"It's easier said than done.", she said, kissing her teeth.
"Don't worry, I'll practice tonight!", I winked at her.
We both started laughing at my wink. She started making fun of it and saying my eye was twitching. Before I could say anything, Mr McKinley told us to shut up. Literally! He should get fired. He doesn't even teach us anything.
-
It was lunchtime and I was sitting at my table eating a sandwich. In the corner of my eye, I saw Chace and I went up to him.
"Could I have my Maths book?", I said sarcastically.
"Say please.", he smirked, expecting me to say please. He's got to be kidding!
I was going to grab his bag and snatch it out but I remembered my plan and said:
"Fine. Could I have my Maths book, please?", I twirled my hair.
"I thought you'd put up a fight, but okay.", he reached into his bag and gave me my book.
"Thanks!", I smiled and walked back to my table.
"What did he say?", Court asked curiously.
"He expected me to put up a fight but he didn't see through my plan."
"Good! It's time for Step 2. Smile at him in the corridor.", she said eagerly.
"Ok."
We finished our lunch and went to our lockers. We waited there for ages. Then he finally came. I walked past him and smiled. He smiled back. He was totally falling for it! I can't wait to humiliate him.
-
I was sitting in English and I had to do Step 3. I turned around and winked at him. He obviously saw and smirked. I hoped no one else saw, or they would start rumours. I got a sticky note and wrote: Meet me at the secret hide out after school XOXO Brooke .
I blatantly passed the note to Courtney and then she passed it to Chace and I saw him read it. He looked up at me and mouthed "Ok".
I needed to remember what I was going to say. I certainly needed to call him a jerk and an annoyance. It sounds harsh but he deserves it.
The bell rang and it was the end of the day. I went to the secret hide out to do Step 4. I had to 'kiss' him. I got there and waited for about 5 minutes. We were in the same class, how long did it take him to get here? I was about to give up and go home but he appeared from the corner.
"You wanted to talk to me?", he raised an eyebrow.
"Well. I really need to ask you something.", I stepped close to him. Really close.
"Ermm...I...wanted...to....know...if...you...ermm...", I wrapped my arms around his neck and brought my face close to him. I was actually nervous, I was extremely close to him and if I hadn't done my plan yet, things would have gotten really awkward. I looked him in the eye and I was about to expose him but he said something.
"Wow. Your plan was good.", he smirked and that's when I really wanted to slap him. But I couldn't, I was so shocked. My mouth dropped and I pulled back from him. How was he one step ahead of me? I had everything planned out to the point.
"How did...you...wait....what...how?", I was stuttering, I couldn't even speak properly.
"It was so obvious. You randomly started smiling at me and winking at me. Even after I stole your Maths book. Nobody does that.", he started laughing.
I realised be was right. If he did that to me, I would've have suspected something. But the fact that he stopped me before I could call him all the horrible things he was! I can't believe it. I don't even know what to do now.
"You're such a-"
"Heartthrob?", he suggested.
"No! A jerk. I could just slap you.", I threatened him.
"I bet you really wanted to kiss me?", he winked at me.
"Yes! Wait...no! NEVER!", I was so confused I accidentally said yes. Ugh!
"Ha! I knew you couldn't resist me!", he started flexing and showing off his muscles. He was so annoying!
"I don't even care anymore! I'm going home.", I stormed off.
"Bye, babe.", he called after me. Why was he always calling me that? I definitely wasn't his babe!
I saw Court waiting for me by my car.
"How did it go?", she asked me.
"It was a disaster! He knew it was a plan!", I opened my car door and got in.
"You can't just leave me here! I've been waiting for 20 minutes! You better drive me home!", she shouted and got into the car. I guess I had to drive her home. It wasn't fair that she wasted her time on me, instead of going home.
-
I dropped Court off and drove home. I stormed into my house and ran up to my room and slammed the door. I was so angry. Chace has gotten under my skin! I jumped onto my bed and looked up at the ceiling. Then I thought to myself, what would have happened if the plan actually worked and I humiliated him? What if he tried to kiss me back? Ew. But I really wasn't sure if he actually had feeling for me?
