"Mom, mOM, MOM," I yelped of joy. "What? What May?" she came bursting in. Her avocado mask running down her neck and a cucumber slice in her mouth. I giggled. Her eyes open wide. "My daughter, my very own daughter got into Hogwarts," she started sobbing. Life hasn't been the same since dad died. Since my mom is not a witch, we lost most contact of the wizarding world. We weren't even sure I was going to make it in. Even our fire place got cut off. I'll have to visit Tom's house before I go. Tom's my best friend. He's alot like me. We're both like to play sports and we're both have one parent from each world. He gets what it's like to feel like you don't belong.

I pack my bags messily. I'm not a very neat person anyway. My mom also throwing things in like sunscreen, candies, and deodorant. "Mom I think I'm over prepared,". "You can never be over prepared,". Unlike me my mom is very neat and organized. She gets her enjoyment out of planing everything. Every vacation is planed down to the last bathroom break. "Get in your mom's car," she screams from the living room. I grab the bag and slide it down the stairs. Then I roll down the stairs. "Good grief your hair is a mess. Here's a comb, braid it again, it giving me a headache,". You give me a head ache I think. My long dark black hair in 2 braids. With my glasses and braces. I definitely look like a nerd. I wear contacts when I play sports, but other than that I find my glasses more homey. If that makes sense. I usually keep them on my head, until I need to read something.

Screech. Once we park I jet out, while my mom get my bags. Running into Tom's arms I yelled, "This is it we're gonna be Gridindors and play Quiditch on the same team,". "Don't forget the butter-beer," he added. His grin reaches both sides of his face. "Gosh your hair has got long," he said. "At least mine isn't messy," I responded. He's got the biggest, brownest, and messiest birds nest ontop of his big head. My mom puts my bag in his dad's trunk and yells, "Don't forget only a cat, none of those slimey frogs,". "Does she actually trust you won't buy one just to make her mad," Tom whispered. "Perhaps I will, it's your fault for the idea," I grinned while walking away. "That's not what I meant y/n, you can't blame this on me.
