I go downstairs and toast a bread. I get the butter and I knife. {and does toast stuff, I'm too lazy to describe} After I eat my toast, I grab my keys and walk out of the house. I drive to school, quietly. I'm still thinking about the person I was thinking about last night. I couldn't get them out of my head. It's like they had consumed my thoughts. At school I turn off my car and get out of it. Addison, Avani, and Mads are waiting for me, like always. I walk up to them and they stop their conversation and greet me. Ad: heyyy M: hi and gm Av: hello U: gm I smile and we start walking to our lockers. Ad: are y'all ready for the end of the school year dance? M: yup, Jaden already asked me Av: same, Anthony did the cutest thing to ask me Ad: omg yes! Bryce did... I stop paying attention, kinda sad. Ik Pay and I just got back together, but he hasn't asked me yet. Did he not plan on going with me? I shrug it off as I finish up at my locker. I close my locker and the girls are gone, ugh. Whatever, I walk down to the restroom's water fountain to get some water. As I'm leaning down to the water fountain, I feel arms wrap around me. I jump and stand up straight, I turn around and see Payton with a confused look. I smile at him and he chuckles P: you ok U: yh I sigh U: just scared me. P: oh He leans in and kisses me on the cheek. P: I'll see you at lunch? U: of course bubs He smiles and walks away, ughhhhh He forgot. Or did he? I walk to class At Lunch I grab my lunch and sit down at the table. Payton wraps his arm around me as he's talking with Parker, who's arm is around Amy. Cute! I turn to Addi and tap her shoulder Ad: wassup I look at Amy, her, Parker, then back at her again. She sees and we squeal. Bryce and Payton look at us and we look down. Everyone's talking about the dance. Payton gets shy and say he has something he's gotta do P: I gotta do something, guys. Bye Everyone: bye He turns to me P: bye angel U: bye love He kisses my forehead and walks out the cafeteria doors. I sigh and turn my attention back to the group. They're still talking about the dance so I focus on my food. I'm picking through my salad as someone taps me Ad: you gonna throw away your lunch? U: oh... yeah I stand up and start to walk to the trash. I throw away my food and give my tray to the lady. U: thank you I turn around and start to walk back to the table. I'm a few yards away and in the corner of my eye, I see them. The person who's been taunting me, making my skin boil. The way they talk, or walk, or even their presence just makes me want to burst. I feel my face begin to heat up, my hands clench in to fists, and my teeth grind. And before I know it, I'm walking towards them, not the table. I pick up my pace, anger raging through my body. I wanna strangle them, but not here, not now. I realize this and quickly turn around, almost running back to the table. I'm embarrassed as I sit down, gathering my backpack from the ground. B: hey, you ok? Ad: yh, what took you so long We all stand up and start walking to our classes U: idk, it just makes me angry B: what makes you angry Ad: or who? I book her nose U: bingo I say a little pissed, and they immediately get the message B: they make you that angry? I sigh, a little frustrated U: yh, and I don't know how to stop it. I just wanna strangle them Ad: well sadly, you can't B: but there's gotta be something more Ad: wdym B: like why now? U: because of the dance Ad: or Payton lacking asking you abt it Then Bryce sweetly boops Addison's nose. B: Bingo U: hooray y'all figured it out I say sarcastically U: but there's nothing y'all can do about it, y'all knowing doesn't change him not asking me Ad: we know Bryce sighs B: I got to go to class, but lmk what happens, ok? U: alright Ad: will do, bye babe They kiss and Addi and I start walking to Chemistry. We change the topic, like she knew I was starting to get uncomfortable. She really does know me. We're almost to the classroom and we're just talking when all of a sudden she gets quiet. Like I'm talking mid-sentence, stopped right in her tracks and just looked down quiet. I look around but I don't see anything off U: are you ok? What happened? Ad: oh, uh... nothing And she walks in the classroom. I go in to and before I can catch up to her, she sits on the front. I- this girl. She knows I don't like to sit in the front. I give the back of her head a look, before noticing Payton. He calls me over and I sit next to him. P: hey U: hi P: what's up with her He has his pencil in his hand and is pointing the pencil to Addi I sigh U: no clue, we were talking and then mid sentence just stopped talking. She put her head down and walked in the classroom P: hm I nod and smile at Payt P: wha He catches me looking at him and I blush U: nothing I get my notes out and review them real quick After School I'm walking to my car and I see Addison. I run up to her U: hey, what happened before chem? I'm worried Addi She gives a little laugh Ad: oh yh, nothing. I just saw her and didn't want you to pay attention to her or do anything. I gasp in shock U: ADDISON RAE EASRERLING she laughs Ad: sorry? U: you better be, you had me worried the whole day!!! I roll my eyes as she laughs, again She did all that just to save me from doing something I might regret to the person I wanted to strangle. I will never get this girl and how much she cares for me, just like another mom. Which makes Bryce my dad. Wait... ew! No, imma stick to Payton being daddy. Ad: Y/n! I come back to reality U: what Addison rolls her eyes Ad: be ready by 6, I'm picking you up U: where are we going? Ad: to the party I was talking about while you were zoning out U: oh, kk Ad: alright, bai! U: bye We hug and I head to my car, on the other side of the parking lot. Great 😑 I'm walking and I see her, the person who consumes my thoughts, makes me wanna kill. Hmm, this would be the perfect time! She's alone and not many ppl are around.
