chase thought over charli's latest words to him, the weirdest thing was that she was right-- feelings or not, all he could do was be there for noen. which is why he's been hanging out with noen more recently these past few weeks, comforting and laughing with him. it scares him a bit that all he's doing is just falling in love even more, but for now he'd rather enjoy his time with noen and convince himself that any other feelings are solely platonic.
today they were having lunch at some vegan place, at noen's request though chase didn't mind too much after he had received his surprisingly delicious plate.

chase discarded his phone off to the side of his plate while he pretended not to notice how his heart skipped a beat whenever people shipped the two together. he felt almost guilty that such a thing could make him happy but emotions are emotions, he figured and sloppily excused for himself.
"what are you looking for?" chase asked at the sight of noen digging in his pockets.
"n-nothing! it's nothing."noen rushed out in response when a flask made a cling sound, hitting the floor under their table
"shit." was all noen had to say.
"noen what the fuck."
"okay, okay! i know this looks bad but i swear it doesn't do anything.. most of the time." noen looked into his lap as he fidgeted with his fingers.
