"I'm so sorry. Does it hurt somewhere?" He asked.
You were shocked to see who he was as he came closer.
"Tae-Taehyung?" You question and he looks at you closely, he was just as shocked to see you.
He noticed your knee had scraped and was bleeding so he took his handkerchief and tied it around the scrape.
"Would you like a ride?" He asked.

*30 minutes later*
"Thank you for dropping me." You say and get out of the car.
"Wait." He said. You look at him waiting, awkwardly. "It's nothing. Take care" he said and drove off.

What was that? Am I dreaming? Was it really Taehyung? This is the first time since I saw him, 2 years ago. When did he come back from Russia? Shit. I should've at least asked him how he was doing! *sigh*
You thought even though you hadn't called him for two years.

*two hours later*
"OMG y/n!!!!" Lisa said as she ran towards you. "You came back? Is your meeting done?"
You ask.
"Forget that! You won't believe who I saw today! Taehyung! Your ex!" She said.

"Ah, that? I know. I met him earlier"

"What-when? Where?" She asked grabbing your shoulders.
You then tell her the whole story.

"Oh. But, are you going to be okay? I mean are you okay seeing Taehyung after so long?" She asked.
You could see genuine concern and worry in her eyes. You smile at her "Don't worry. I'm fine."

"That's why I'm worried. Whenever you say you're fine, I get more scared. You keep faking it."

You become quiet and look down at your hands. You then look at her with a smile. "C'mon, it'll be fine! Don't worry, yeah? Now let's have lunch, I'm hungry." you say and go to the kitchen to make something to eat.

*at 7 pm*
"Y/n! Can you please go and buy me some pain killers? My cramps are killing me." Lisa said.
"Sure," You say as you put on your jacket, take your wallet and leave.

*at the convenience store*.

"Excuse me. Where can I find the painkillers? They are not there on the usual shelf." You ask the worker.
"Oh. We just shifted them to the lower right corner."  She said.
"Thank you" You say and quickly go there when a guy bumps into you. He snatches your wallet and starts running.
"Oh-Oh my God. My wallet! Someone, my wallet. Stop! Oh god!" You say and chase after him.

I can't lose my wallet. It has so many important things.

You thought and started running faster when that guy fell down. You saw Taehyung standing in front of him.
"What the fuck do you think you are doing?" He said to the guy and took your wallet back.
"Go now before I call the police" he threatened and the guy ran away.
"Are you alright?" He asked as he handed you your wallet.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you so much"
Then both of you just stand there, looking at each other, almost awkwardly.
"do you want to get a drink?" You ask.

"Sure"

*at a cafe*
"So when did you come back?" You ask.
"Oh, just a week ago. What about you? How have you been?" He asked.

"Don't even ask. I got fired yesterday"

"What? Why?"

"I don't know, my boss said I was not working hard enough. But I had been doing my best. He said he caught me sleeping at times. After calling me for five-night shifts this week alone!!!"

"What? Five-night shifts? That's terrible"

"I know right?" You say and then you fall into an awkward silence.

"That means you're jobless right now?" He asked.
You nodded.
"Then, in that case, would you like to work for me. I opened my own art museum after coming back to my dad's help. I'm looking for a few people who can work for me." He said and curiously waited for your answer.
"Can I really work there?" You ask. He nodded with a smile.
"Ok, I'll do it!"

His eyes widened. "Really?"

"Yeah. I was desperately looking for a new job. And my previous job was pretty similar. So I guess I'll do okay." You say smiling and he chuckles.

Oh no! I completely forgot! Lisa must be dying of cramps back home. I should go!
You thought.

"I'm sorry but I have to go now! I'll meet you tomorrow at work. Bye!" You say as you both exchange your numbers.
"Text me!" You say and then run back home.
