"Sir, I feel like you should call her back," Felix said. "Who?" Jungkook asked.
"Y/n"
"Why would I do that?"
"I really think that there was a misunderstanding. I mean, as far as I know, she has been working very hard. I know because my table is right beside her. I mean she is the only one who comes for most of the night shifts. She has never even complained about them. And about her sleeping, just imagine how tired she must have been after working so many night and day shifts. I'm sure she barely got time to rest" He said hoping for Jungkook to change his mind.
Jungkook thought for a while. "Just go do your work"
Felix just quietly left. What was I even thinking? He won't call her. He thought and went back to work.
What if he is right? I didn't even notice how tired she must have been. Jungkook thought and immediately gave you a call.

Lisa woke up and saw you. "Huh? Where are you going wearing that? I thought you were jobless" She said and you look at her with a bright smile. "I was jobless. I got a new job.
In Taehyung's company" You said and she immediately walked towards you. "What? In whose company? Taehyung!? Are you sure you're okay? She asked.
"Yes, I am. So what if he's my ex? Not all exes end up on bad terms. I have gotten quite comfortable with him after talking with him yesterday"
"Fine, as long as you're okay with it. But wait- you never told me why exactly you broke up with him." She said curiously waiting for you to speak when suddenly you're phone rang. It was Jungkook. Why is he calling? You think and answer it. "Hello? What? Right now? But why? I'm bus- " before you could complete your sentence, he hung up on you. Lisa asked what the matter was so you tell her that Jungkook had suddenly called you in his office. "I wonder why." You say.
"I'm sure he realized his mistake and wants you to come back," Lisa said entering the washroom to brush her teeth.
"Yeah as if. He is not that kind of a guy. Well, I still have some time before I go for my new job, so I guess I'll just go meet him. Eat breakfast before you leave. Bye!" You say as you take your bag and phone and leave.
*His Office* "Why did you call me?" You ask.
"I'm giving you a second chance. You can start working here again" he said not being able to look straight into your eyes.
You sarcastically laugh. "Too late. I appreciate it. But I'm sorry. I already have a new job" You say as your phone rang. It was Taehyung. Jungkook saw the caller id and his eyes widened. "Taehyung? Is it that Taehyung? When did you meet with him again?" He asked.
"Mind your own business," You say and get up to leave. He stands up from his chair and says "I mean it. You can start working again."
"No thank you." You say and leave.
You call Taehyung back on the way outside. "Yes, Taehyung. I'm on my way. I'll be there soon" You say as you hang up.
Does Jungkook still remember what happened that day 2 years go? You thought.
*Flashback* *2 years ago*
"What do you mean, y/n?" Taehyung asked. "I'm just saying it's better for us to break up." You say.
"But why? Did I do something wrong?" He said holding your hand tightly.
"You are busy most of the time with your college exam preparation or office work. And I'm also busy with my office work. Let's stop Taehyung"
"No please. I'm sorry. I promise I'll be better" He said not letting go of your hand.
"Don't apologize. It's not your fault. We are just not the right ones for each other" You say as you take your bag and leave the cafe, leaving Taehyung all alone.
You were now sitting on a bench outside your office building while it was raining, crying thinking about Taehyung. You loved him and you knew it won't be easy for you. But you broke up with him for the better. Suddenly someone came and sat beside you. It was your boss, Jungkook. "Are you ok?" He asked. You tell him everything about your break up with Taehyung. He gave you his jacket as it was getting cold. "It's ok," He said and tightly hugged you.
*Present* "We're here ma'am," Your cab driver said. "Oh, are we? Thank you so much" You say as you pay him and quickly enter the building before you're late.
Wow. This is epic! He ended up being super successful indeed. I can't believe he just started it. This place is luxurious! Your thoughts were interrupted when you heard a familiar voice. "You're here?"
