An Evening at Henry's Cafe

It has been a month now . Doctors took off my bandage as my broken rib was doing fine . Well ,I missed the homecoming but somehow went for the graduation ceremony and the party too . Couldn't dance ,but maybe sometimes destiny does work like that.
I came home early at 4.30 ,had a sandwich and a chocolate milk . While I was playing the Target To The Dustbin ,the doorbell rang ......

" Mom ,someone's at the door . "

" Mom !!!!!"

Oops ,she went to pick up Kevin ,my brother from the dentist . So I guess I will have to wake up and go to the door.

" Hey Rossie !"

" Hi ,Drake . "

" So ,you can now walk by yourself ?"

" It's hard ,but I'm trying my best . "

" Well ,can I come in ? "

" Yeah ,sure . "

" So Rossie,can I take you out after a while ? "

" Now ? "

" Yeah ,I guess . If you're willing to go ..."

My day was pretty doomed ,so maybe I can go out and have some fresh air .

" I will go. Let me get freshen up quick . "

" Alright then . I will sit here and wait for you . "

" Okay . "

So this guy really came after months .
Rossie,let's go and have some fun .

I was about to leave my room tying my ponytail wearing a jogger cause that's what I'm comfortable in right now. Before leaving I had a glance at my mirror ,and it gave a negative vibe of cheating on Paula .... I know that we are not committed to something,still it just didn't feel right for a bit .

" I'm done, let's go ."

I went out with Drake for a bite leaving a note to my mom saying " I'm with Drake on a date . " Obviously my mother will worry about why I went out ,so I had to lie on that note .

When we reached ,Drake opened the door and also pulled the chair ,I am not sure if it's for courtesy or if it's because I'm a little bit weak . I was full still I ordered a hamburger and Drake saw me as a messy eater covering my top part with yellow mustard sauce . He gently talked the whole time ,about his passion ,carrier ,future plans and all . He seemed like a genuine guy. Well ,for me . I was just listening to him ....

So after an hour we went back to the spot where I had been shot and the way he explained the whole situation was freaking me out more than while it actually happened .....

" Drake ,I want to go home . Can you drop me there ? "

" Yeah ,Sure .."

After I got home ,I got a note on the fridge saying ," Your father and I are going on a date too , Kevin has a boy's night . You have your privacy now . Enjoy the evening ,we will be back at 10 . There's a cauliflower steak in the oven ,warm up and have it ."

Crap ! Now I'm completely alone in my house and there's Drake . I wish Paula was here now. I don't know ,from where I'm getting this attraction for him. It's like he is in my head everytime .

" Rossie ,where's Mrs Perskin ? "

" Mom isn't home ,she's out with Dad . "

" That's sweet . I wish my mom and dad were this much sweet to take each other out. "
