Pain floating cell-to-cell. Reactions. A retraction occurs in my muscles. I'm tired—so tired. The pain in my head seems so old. Yet so new. New because it's here now, old because it's been so long.

Unwinding, only it doesn't feel that way. I normalized these patterns until they were all I knew.

A migraine of sorts brought my pain. Like a train's light in the distant darkness—it is all I can see. But perhaps that is all I need.

Refreshed, I rise from a mesh mattress; as it could be said hapless circumstance forced my hand. Now the light is all around me. Feel it in my bones and in my blood.
