Mom are you okay? What are you talking about? Why are they here?" I asked crouching down in front of her. She just continued sobbing looking at me, but she wasn't. It was like she was looking right through me, like I wasn't even there.
"Mom what's going on? Talk to me! Why aren't you looking at me?" I cried out still sat in front of her.
I felt a soft hand grab my shoulder. I looked up to see Rylie looking down at me with sad eyes.
"C'mon Gi, I think you know she can't see you," he said holding out his other hand for me. I grabbed it and let him pull me up, he lead me outside to the front lawn. I could see smoke and multiple police cars in the distance. I had a feeling of what may have happened but i didn't want it to be true.
Me and Rylie waled down the road to the scene and like I assumed, it was my car upside down in the thick wooded area off to the side of the road. I fell to my knees sobbing knowing that my life was over, just like that. Boom, gone. A question quickly came to my mind.
I looked up to Rylie, "How can you see me?" I asked piercing together the puzzle in my brain. He looked down at me guiltily, frowning at me.
"I'm just like you."
