Ash's POV:
My mother stopped her car in front of the school. I looked out the window and let out a huge sigh. My mother held my shoulder and she looked at me.
'You okay, kiddo?' She signed with her hands.
I shook my head.
'What's wrong?' My mother asked still using sign language.
'It's just that, Leah has been avoiding me since Friday mom' I signed at her.
'Well maybe she is busy' signed my mother.
'Yeah right, busy with what exactly?'
'Studying?'
'I'll see you later' I signed, annoyed.
'Alright sweetheart, have a good day. I love you' my mother signed.
I signed I love you back and got out the car then began walking to the front of the school.I made my way to my locker and opened it. I was about to take out my books until I felt my face getting shoved into my locker.
Leah's POV:
I sat in my boyfriend's arms, crying my eyes out.
"Baby, you have to stop this. Please" said Chester, holding my wrists.
"I ca-can't, I just can't" I stuttered, hiding my face in his chest.
Chester took my wrists and planted soft kisses on the scars.
"Stop for me, please baby. I cannot stand seeing you in pain"
"I'll-I'll try"
"That's more like it my love. Remember I love you"
"I know, I love you too"Chester cupped my face and planted a soft kiss on my lips.
"I have to go, you're gonna be okay?"
I wiped my tears with the sleeve of my hoodie.
"I'll be fine. I have to go meet up with Ash though. I wanna apologize to her for avoiding her last week"
Chester kissed my forehead.
"Okay, my Angel. I love you"
"I love you too, Chazzy"
We kissed and went our separate ways.Chester and I have been dating over a month now and I've felt a bit happy. I'm just scared to tell Ash because I feel that she wouldn't wanna be my friend anymore. She's like the sister I've never had, she's there for me and I'm there for her.
I adjusted the strap of my backpack and started texting Ash to ask her where she was, that was until I heard laughing and someone groaning. I looked down the hallway and saw some girls surrounding another girl. When I walked closer, I saw it was the school sluts, taunting Ash.
"Hey!" I yelled but they ignored, "Hey!" I yelled again and this time they heard.
"What do you want, emo loser?" Asked Anna, the dumb one.
"What do I want? I want you to leave my friend alone!" I said.
"Or what? We're not scared of you!" Talinda, the sassy one said.
"I don't give a damn if you're scared of me or not! Just leave Ash alone!"
"Uh...No!" Samantha, the bitchy one said sarcastically and they continued to taunt Ash.I couldn't take it anymore so I pushed them aside.
"LEAVE HER ALONE! IF YOU BULLY ASH AGAIN SO HELP ME I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU 3!" I yelled.
They had shocked expressions on their faces and huffed then walked away.
'Ash are you okay?' I sign language her.
'Leave me alone' she signed back about to walk away but I grabbed her arm.
'Ash please, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to avoid you last week'
'Really? Because it kinda look like you did' Ash was about to walk away again until I grabbed her arm.
'Ash look, the reason why I've been avoiding you is because, well, stuff has been hectic at home which led me to...' I showed Ash my scars and her eyes widened.
'My dad, he started drinking and now is raping my mom and abusing me'
'Leah, I'm so sorry'
'It's alright Ash, it's my fault. I shouldn't have avoided you I should've told you. You've been there for me so many times and I just hurt you. I'm really sorry-' I signed then Ash pulled me into a hug.She pulled away.
'It's okay, I forgive you' she signed and smiled.
'Really?'
'Of course, we're besties'
I giggled.
'Thanks Ash, I'm so glad to have you in my life'
Ash smiled and hugged me again.
'And I'm glad to have you in my life'
Just then the bell rang.
'Class is about to start, you ready?' Ash signed.
'Yeah, let's go' I signed back at her.
We smiled and walked to class.
