Izuku sat at his desk writing as his headphones played a "Megalovania but..." playlist on Youtube. He was currently writing the second novel in what he'd taken to calling his "I Am" series, which was about a young quirkless enby, much like himself, named Yumi Romero as they struggled to find their place in the world. The first book, "I am They", was about Yumi struggling to figure out their identity while making their way through seventh grade at an all girl's school. I won't give too much away though.
Anyways, the protagonist of this story is Midoriya Izuku, a fifteen year old quirkless boy attending UA high's general education course. In a different universe Izuku would be preparing for the Sports Festival, longing to transfer into the Hero Course. He'd wish to have a quirk, to be able to be a hero. Maybe in another universe he would have a quirk. But not here. Here, Izuku is happy to stay put in general education. Content to be away from Kac- no, Bakugo's constant bullying and his mother's unknowing toxicity. Here, he is an author writing under a pseudonym, happy with his life. Or... is he?

[XXXX, two weeks before the UA Sports Festival]
"Alright everyone, listen up!" Midnight-sensei exclaimed, jolting Izuku out of his planning headspace. When the class quieted down, she continued, "Nezu has finally okay-ed Gen Ed training for the Sports Festival!"
While most of 1-C cheered, two students stayed silent. I'll give you one guess as to who they are. Go ahead, I'll wait. Got your ideas? Good. If you guessed Shinsou Hitoshi and Midoriya Izuku, you are 100% correct! Shinsou isn't a very expressive person in general and just smirked when the announcement was made. Izuku on the other hand, almost started crying. If they were to have mandatory training sessions, certainly wouldn't have as much time to lord over- sorry, write his books! His books were his everything. His escape, his pride and joy. Those characters were like his kids. He wasn't letting them go for anything (while not being toxic like his mother). Tears were about to start falling when Midnight-sensei walked up to him.
"Midoriya?" Midnight put her hand on his shoulder. Her student looked close to tears! She wasn't about to let that slide! "What's wrong?"
Izuku looked up and saw that during his panic class was dismissed and everyone was gone. "O-oh! M-midnight-sensei! It's j-just that... umm..." He paused and looked down at his fidgety hands, "I don't want to train for the... the, um, Sports F-f-f-oh gosh darn it... you know what I'm trying to say. I... I know it sounds weird, b-but I... nevermind it's not important."
"Oh..." Midnight looked at her student in shock before shaking her head. Nobody should have to do something they don't want to. "Midoriya, you don't have to train during that time period. You can do something else!"
"Really? I c-can do s-something else? Am I allowed t-to write?" Izuku asked excitedly.
"Of course you can write!" This kid, Midnight thought. Ever a hard worker.
"Thank y-y-you sensei! Thanks a lot!" Ecstatic, Izuku gathered his stuff, said goodbye to his homeroom teacher, and started on his way back home.

"M-mom, I'm home!" Izuku shouted as he opened the door to a spotless home. He slipped his shoes off and made his way to the kitchen, where his mom was doing the dishes.
Inko paused what she was doing to scan her son for any injuries before turning back to the sink, "Hi Izuku! There are some apple slices for you to munch on while you finish your homework on the table!"
