Hi there if your reading this then thank you so much for deciding to give my story a chance. This is my first story ever so sorry if the chapters are a bit short or any thing and unfortunately I may switch between tenses but please beer with me. Enjoy!

Mikaylah's POV:
“Mom. I have something to tell you. I’m undead. Now, I know you may have some preconceived notions about the undead. I know you may not be comfortable with the idea of me being undead. But I’m here to tell you that undead are just like you and me … well, okay. Possibly more like me than you.”

I give a small chuckle drawing my friend Errón's  attention away from her book and giving me a quizzical stare. "Dont worry." I say and she looks down at her book with a shurg.

Here we are on a perfectly sunny day sitting inside the classroom stuck in our books, while outside the rest of my small class of 11 runs around outside playing some veriation of ball tag. In the middle of all of them smirks Kaspar. A straight A student that instead of being geeky was the player of the school but also the most loved, edgy, funny guy. Raking his hand through his short brown hair he threw a smile at Bailey the new girl. Oh course he would go after the new cute singer. Ah well what's it to me. Suddenly the bell sounded and I raced to finish my page before the teacher got in.

                 ...

At the end of the day Mrs Bluebud our teacher handed out sign up forms for the local high school. Today was the day we really had to start thinking about the future. Instantly chatter of what subjects we were gonna take and what sports groups we were gonna sign up for filled the room.

"I'm thinking about playing hockey" Errón said without emotion while still staring at the form. " I never knew you wanted to play hokey?" I was surprise because Errón like me had never really liked sport that much.

"I don't but my parents are making me take a sport so why not hockey." Unfortunately Errón was a bit bigger than average and her parents were constantly fighting with her to lose the weight making her insecure even though the whole school loved her witty, fun personality. I smiled sadly at her. "Hey it's Friday, why don't you come over and we'll have a movie night?" She lifted her head, a smile playing on the edge of her lips. "Sure sounds good."

                        ...

Later that night we ate pizza, watched Pirates of the Caribbean and gossiped about the new girl and how she was annoying and self absorbed. This lasted till the early hours of Saturday when we finally feel asleep.

A month later:

Today I get to open my letter from Dashlorne High School to see which class I'm in. Unfortunately it came in the mail while Mum and Dad were out but why would they care anyway. Ripping the seal I flip through the papers to find my class code, Errón had already texted me hers and I really hope I got into the same class as her. Skimming down the page I find it and my face falls. 9gdb. Not the same. Suddenly I'm franticly texting my whole class to see if anyone is in the same class as me. Text after text tells me I'm not but just as I've given up hope my phone buzzes and I read two words that will change my life forever..." Hey classmate"

Its from Kaspar.
