The next day both houses holds were up and moving early, but both for very different reasons...

In the The hero family household everyone was excited but also very tired. Except a very loud banana haired blond. Who is up and screeching in the kitchen.

"Shinso did you even sleep?!" Yamada yelled at the more than sleep deprived teen. And he wasn't wrong hitoshi looked ready to drop and never wake up untill fully rested. That itself could take months.

"Too loud." He mumbles back heading for the coffee machine. "He's right last chance Yamada." The two sleepy forms snicker at the face the blond pulls.

Hitoshi takes a long sip of his coffee before sighing contently. "Ah he's only joking papa. But please save your voice for the exam." The blond nods slight concern hanging in his gaze before leaving to get ready.

The other two simply enjoy each other's company sipping coffee while the tv plays in the background. Every now and then one would make a witty or sarcastic comment, leaving the other snickering. It was peaceful and a perfect start to a big day.

Meanwhile in the birds nest on the other side of town, things were... chaotic to say the least.

"IZUKU GET BACK HERE!" Hawks screams at the run away child.
"NOOOOOOOO! I don't wanna! HELP! Someone help I'm being kidnapped!" Izuku screams trying to escape his already decided fate. He sprints as fast as his legs would take him trying to head to a more populated area to loose the hawk hot on his wings.

Sadly a lonely pebble had other ideas causing Izuku to stumble slightly giving the elder a perfect opportunity to swoop in.

Hawks swiftly covers the squirming boys mouth. Almost tackling the boy over onto the floor. "Izuku midoriya behave! Where are you going this early in the morning?" He hisses out. The other boy simply struggled more in the tight grasp. He responds with a sarcastic comment that was conveniently muffled.

"What- eh eww Izu that's gross! What are you 5?" The green eyed boy smirks in triumph. A small win is still a win. And nothing is too low for the boy.  "Whatever," he brushes off rolling his eyes. "I need to go to the store." The younger said Stealthy slipping out of hawks grasp.

Hawks distracted by wiping his hand that Izuku so kindly licked, didn't notice the green boy slipping away and start running off again. Realising too late the man let's out an exasperated sigh.

"Oh my god- IZUKU GET YO ASS BACK NOW!" Quickly calculating the head start the green boy got. Hawks spreads his wings and rockets down the sidewalk. This time successfully tackling the smaller boy in mere seconds.

Said boy huffs in annoyance but quickly slumps in response to the arms tightening around him. It may not seem like it but Izuku knows when to give up... or make it look that way. If he wanted to win or at least give it a shot he could have used his wings too. But looking for some entertainment and always wanting to be a pain Izuku settled with this option.

Satisfied hawks speaks again "Good now, if you want to go, lets go." He says still keeping a firm grip on Izuku's arm. Hawks contemplates investing in a toddler harness for Izuku so he can't wonder or get lost.

He soon gives up and walks along side the boy in a comfortable silence.

After the challenge of finding a store open this early and buying what they needed and hawks keeping a- well a hawks eye on the escape artist. The two finally make their way back towards the house with out anymore trouble.

It's quite between the two neither one speaking, as they stroll back. Izuku is happy having got what he needed and had some fun doing so. While Hawks is just glad it's over for now.

Digging in his pockets for the key he breaks the silence and speaks to the boy. "What is up with you today?" He unlocks the door and watched they younger scurry in. Izuku doesn't respond instead making his way in and out of site.

Hawks shakes his head placing the bag on the counter. He rubs his eyes and sighs. To be fair it's too early to be dealing with Izuku yet hawks is here dealing with Izuku. Ah yes ✨family✨

Izuku himself has been on edge all morning and looks almost paranoid at this point. Pulling on strands of hair and glancing in any semi reflective surface. He's been more cautious and jumpy too. He stands fidgeting under the mans concerned look, and shifting his weight from one foot to the other foot.

Hawks picks up on his mood change and sighs again. What this the 4 time today? "Is this what's put you in a bad mood?" He asks placing a hand on the boys head. Izuku nods slowly before violently shaking the hand off. "Why don't you just let it grow out? It's really not that bad." He means no harm by the question but Izuku's mood visibly darkens some. Kegio is met with pure silence.

Izuku stares back while quietly backing away before turning and darting into the bathroom.

He stares himself down in the mirror, and growls at his reflection. Specifically his hair and the bright roots growing through. He dips his head so the green curls cover his eyes. This successfully blocks his vision and keeps him less distracted by his hair.

"It's just the only thing I have left of her." He says sensing the mans presence and letting his arms fall limply to the side of him. Hawks knows how touchy the subject is and stays quiet listening from outside the door. Izuku idolised his mother as much as he did heroes. Their relationship was the closest thing he had to a family so he treasured it.

Sadly after a series of unfortunate events his family was ruled away and with that his personality change caused a quirk upgrade that started turning his hair white. That's what Hawks was told however.

Safe to say Izuku hates it. "Disgusting." He whispers out poking at the white roots coming through. Ever since the accident the boys hair started turning white. The doctor say it could be a effect of his quirk or stress but no one really knows.

Safe to say Izuku hates. And he hates it for two reason.
1) it's trying to take away a pice of his mother who he holds dear.
2) it reminds him of a man. A man who he tries so hard to forget.

Hawks has tried his damn best to get him to open up about it, and how it effects him but some trauma is just too deep. Even if Izuku wanted to talk about it, he doubts he'd be able to safely. So instead Hawks gets the same kind of response every time but he can make no sense of it.

"I can't let it grow out. It would leave me powerless. I'd have no defence left."

It's the same cryptic response every time. Hawks nor anyone else for that matter can't make out what he means so people stoped questioning it. There will be a time when he tells them and until then. The heroes can wait. It's probably not too important anyway. Not like it could leave Japan swinging in the balance. <— that's called jinxing things

"Fine." Hawks says leaning off the wall. "Just be quick the exam starts today. Around 11 I think."
Hawks then walks off to the kitchen mumbling something about food. This leaves the boy with his green hair dye. And a smirk on his face.
