Feelings and Old Friends

King's POV
I was taking one of my daily naps when suddenly I jumped at the door slamming. It's was just Luz gushing about that girl again.
"King, I just had the best day." Luz says picking  me up and spinning me like a twister. "What are you so happy about?" I asked dazed. "I kissed Amity!" Luz shouted in excitement. I wasn't impressed because I was thinking she would done something much more exciting. But I was still happy for her.

Luz's POV
I happily ran to my room as gushing thoughts were rushing through my mind. I jumped for joy as soon as I got to my room.

Amity's POV
"Luz kissed me...she kissed me." I say blushing as I shut my bedroom window. I started laughing at the thought of me blushing.
"Amity!...dear it's dinner time!" My awful mother shouted from downstairs. "Coming mother." I say as I shut the door behind me.

The Next Morning

I went to the owl house to hangout with Luz again.
"Hi Amity...you came to see Luz again?...Hoot!" Hooty says squawking. "Yes if I'm honest." I say as I began knocking at the front door. "The door is open." A voice called out. Miss Eda was doing some cleaning around the house while listening to music on her camcorder. Miss Lilith and Luz were in the kitchen talking and sharing old family photo of Luz as a baby and photos of her father.
"Hey, Amity, Aunt Lilith was telling me how you and your father used to come on fishing trips with her and aunt Eda." Luz says looking through more photos. "Well did Miss Eda ever tell you about how her and I used to play pranks on Miss Lilith." I say as the memory reappear in my mind. We were talking for a while long until a cat came in through an open window. It was black with a white patch on it's chest, It's was so skinny it seemed like no one fed it in years, But Eda and Lilith are not cruel like that. The cat stared directly at me til it jumped up on to the table. Luz began petting it's head. It's red eyes seemed so familiar but I couldn't remember where. "Do you have any pets. Ami,?" Luz said looking at me with her big brown eyes staring into my soul. " Ok, fine I did have a cat once much like this one." I say staring at the cat's red eyes.

Flashback 5 years
No POV
Amity was playing with her brother, Edrick in the woods by their house. When she heard a faint cry from the bushes. She slowly and quietly walked over to what was making the sound. Once she pride the bush open with her hands. She saw a little kitten with red eyes. "It's ok I don't bite." She said sweetly to the frightened creature. Amity grabbed the kitten from out of the bush. "Mittens what did you find?" Edrick asked still picking the twigs from his dark green hair. "Oh this little guy was stuck in a bush. So I've decided to take him home. "Ami...you know Em is allergic." Edrick says in a panic. "it's fine Ed...she will have to take medicine when we keep him." She says as she rubbed the kitten's head with her figure because of how tiny he was. He purred in her arms as they walked back to the mansion.

Amity's POV
"A few months went by and I would feed him every morning and him would come into my room and cuddle with me. Then after the funerals we moved away for about two years to live with my grandmother and I didn't see him after that." Once I finished explaining there was not a dry eye in site. "Amity, we had no idea." Lilith said patting me on the shoulder. "Thank you for taking care of him." I say as relief washed over me. The cat meowed as he softly wrapped his tail around my arm.
30 minutes have gone by. Luz, The cat, and I sat in the living room talking. "He must really like you, Amity." Luz said scratching him behind the ears. I scratched under his chin as he purred. The cat licked my hand as if he comforting me. "I guess you found your familiar, Ami." Luz said smiling. "My parents don't know about this,shit...I forgot all about them...could you maybe take care of him at least until I talk to them?" I say in a nervous tone. "Of course we can don't worry...Okay?" Luz says as she kissed me on the cheek. "Thank you, Lulu." I say as the cat rubbed up my leg. We could tell he missed me. "Luz is going to take care of til I figure something out." I say to the cat. He meowed in a reply to my question

An Hour Later
Soon enough it was time for me to go. My cat was on my shoulder not wanting me to leave. I scratched him under his jaw as he purred again. "Take care of him...please." I hesitated when I said this as I handed him to Luz. I kissed her head then left.
