Stellaride - Weekend Away

Kelly had just been told that his time at OFI was officially over, and he would be returning to Fire House 51 the following Monday. Of course, Kelly had told Stella first, and she was over the moon. Even if she didn't admit it, she was glad that he was going back to where he belonged, with his family.

OFI had let him off on Friday at noon, and his first shift back at the Fire House was on the coming Monday. Stella had made it her personal job to celebrate the return of Squad Lieutenant Kelly Severide.

Obviously, they were headed to Molly's that evening, but Stella had also missed seeing him at home. She had grabbed a bag and started packing some clothes of hers and Kelly's. Enough for a small weekend getaway for the two of them.

Stella had loaded the bag into her car without Kelly noticing and then returned to the apartment. "Kelly, car's ready for us. The House is waiting at Molly's, everyone is excited for you to be back," she called out.

Kelly then walked out of their bedroom, "I'm ready."

Stella smiled and lead him out of the apartment and to her car. They hopped in and she started driving them to Molly's

Parking the car and getting out, Stella grabbed Kelly's hand as they walked in.

"Surprise! Welcome back, Kelly!" a chorus of voices shouted.

Kelly smiled at Stella, "you did this for me?"

Stella shrugged, "we all did. I would never admit it, but we miss you."

From then on, everything was going great, the night was terrific. Stella made sure not to drink, knowing the second surprise she had planned for the night.

"Hey, Kelly. I think it's time we start packing up."

"Yeah, I am a little tired. All I wanna do is spend the weekend with you."

Stella smiled at this and lead him to her car. As she was driving, a confused look formed on his face.

"Stella, this isn't the way to the apartment..?"

She looked over at him, "I know. I thought we would take a slight detour."

He nodded, still confused, but now slightly curious.

The two kept in a comfortable silence until they arrived at the cabin. Kelly again smiled when he realized where they were, "you plan this too!"

Stella just nodded as they went into the house. Kelly started a fire in the fireplace, then sat on the couch next to Stella.

The two cuddled up to one another, heads resting on each other. Kelly whispered into her hair, "I love you."
