chapter 11~afterpartyyy!

After killing Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah, Kol and Esther invited us for a party. I danced with Matt most of the time. "Im sorry, Marissa. I liked you alot. I just like Caroline, who now likes Tyler.. And I guess what Im trying to say is, Im all alone. And I dont want to lose our friendship because Ive been stupid", Matt sighed. I kissed him on the cheek gently. "You'll never lose me, Matt. Ever", I whispered into his ear before going off to dance with Caroline. "You and Tyler huh?", I smiled. "Dont, Marissa. Im so sorry for what I did to you and Matt's relationship! But yes, me and Tyler. I love him, Marissa... Hes the one", Caroline sighed. I gave Caroline a quick hug and headed over to Rebekah. "What do you want", she moaned. "C'mon its a party Rebs! Lighten up!", I grinned at her. "Oh sure. My brother is dead, hip hip hooray", she scolded before stalking away from me. I shrugged off the incident and grabbed another beer.

"Thanks for bringing me home Damon", I smiled as I flopped back onto my bed. "Mind if I stay the night again? Ive got plenty clean clothes here because we decided I could leave some", he asked kindly. I agreed to it, simply because I was too tired to argue, Id like the company and my parents were still at Grandmas. We changed into pj's and got washed before snuggling up in my bed together. And off into darkness for me...

"Morning", I smiled to Damon who was in the kitchen, already dressed, preparing breakfast. He smiled "Hey. Sleep well? To be honest Im having trouble believing last night happened!". "I know. But it did!", I giggled. Damon put down the frying pan and came to hug me. "We're back!", called a voice from the front door. My parents and Leo were back! I ran to hug them. "Glad to see you! Hows grandma?", I asked. "Shes fine. Still her old bossy self", dad laughed and recieved a punch on the arm from mum, "Oi!", she gasped. "Here, let me get some of those bags into the lounge", Damon smiled to my parents as he came from the kitchen. My mum took a moment to take in the sight of me, with my tangled hair and night gown, and Damon, who was just casually cooking breakfast in the kithchen before she nodded and allowed Damon to take all the heavy bags and carry them off with ease. "I um... Im going to go get dressed", I sniggered before darting off to my room. When I returned, Damon, Leo and my father were sitting in the living room, bonding over the football so I headed to the kitchen to help my mom make coffee for us and hot cocoa for Leo. "Ive missed you guys, you know", I said to mom. "Really? Because it seems you've pretty ocupied", She smirked. "Mom!", I gasped, "Its not like that okay?! I mean I love him but Im too young. I want to live my life first". My mom giggled. I think she was surprised at my reply, and relieved too I guess. "Hey Marissa. Want to go meet the guys? We're all going to celebrate... Again... We have alot to be thankful for!", Damon grinned. "Sure! Mom, is that alright?", I smiled. My mom nodded, and off we went!

"We've been partying WAY too much lately!", yelled Bonnie (she was TOTALLY hamered and she was shouting everything). "I know! Its totally AWESOME!", Jeremy laughed. Everyone giggled at his sudden drunken outburst. "When did our lives get so messed up? A few months ago we were regular ol' humans, and now...", Tyler sighed. "The same as all the other psychos round here?", I added. Everyone laughed. I know it must sound weird but... Id never felt more human, more alive, than I did at that moment. Regardless of the fact I was a vampire surrounded by werewolves, hybrids, more vampires, one human and a human that sees dead people. I had a family. And I dont mean my mom, dad and Leo. I mean the family Id chosen. So yeah... the 'after party' after Klaus died was pretty badass.
