I wake up shivering. What was that? I know it might just have been a dream, but it felt so real

I see Markam drooling in his sleep. At first, it used to disgust me but now it just seems so normal. I know in the dark no one can see me so I get up and look through the window. It's raining. Now I'll have no problem sleeping so I get back to bed.

I open my eyes to a startle. Miss Fits is right above me with her long nose inches away from my face. "Good you're awake."

I look around and see two men sitting in chairs around my room and Markam in the other bed.

"Whasgoinon," I ask rubbing my eyes.

"No manners, huh?" asks one of the men. Beside him sits another man, the same one from yesterday. I look closely but he seems to look normal, maybe I did exaggerate. But what's he doing here?

"Troubled group, you see," Miss Fita says pointing to me and Markam, "So can you handle them, Mr Holens?"

"Oh, Don't worry, We'll have them fixed in no time." Says the so-called Mr Holens.

"Would somebody tell me what's going on?" I ask finally.

"Well Ms Eirini, I have been thinking for some time and have concluded that you and Mr Markam need some special help."

"What do you mean?" Markam asks from across the room.

"These men are from a special care agency called 'Abbadon' and I have enrolled you there," she says with her eyes glistening.

"Special care, which means what?"

"Well, everyone knows how you to have been acting out recently. I heard just yesterday that you purposefully bumped into someone and wanted them to apologise for them." WhAt?

I open my mouth to defend myself but she stops me. "Now, I think that's enough for today," She says, "Wouldn't want to scare these men away on the first day." And like that, she leaves the room leaving us with the men.

"Get ready," Mr Holens says getting up with his colleague, "We're leaving after breakfast."

Assembly takes place and Ms Fita acts like she will miss us dearly. I scoff.

All the children bid us goodbye and Mr Holens pushed us outside. It felt unusually cold and chilly. There was a black car parked right outside, and no I do not know the cars model. Markam and I sat in the back and Mr Holens and his colleague sit in the front. He starts the engine and in a few minutes, I can no longer see the orphanage.

I feel uncomfortable in the silent car and so I try to start a conversation.

"So... I never did get to know your colleague's name, Mr Holens." I say.

"Well Believe me neither do I," he says, "He doesn't talk much."

And just like that, the conversation is over. I lean my head on Markam's shoulder, put my legs on top of the empty seat and try to get some sleep.

At this point, you may be thinking if there is any romantic relationship between me and Markam and to be honest I have never thought about it. I mean we have known each other for so long it seems awkward for there to be anything there.

"So are you gonna tell me why you looked at him that way?" I whisper so the men upfront can't hear me.

"I don't know..." he says, "his face brought some kind of fearful feeling back to me." What feeling?

I get too stuck in my thoughts that I don't notice that the car has stopped.

"Are we here?" Markam asks.

"Get down and don't move." Mr Holen's barks.

He and his colleague step out of the car, and to my surprise pull out guns. I didn't know that they were escorting the queen.

For some reason, at a different angle, it seems like they have swords.

I start to ask Markam but he beats me to it. "You see swords too, right?

Not only swords but at a distance, I can see a woman in armour. she charges towards the men and instead of pulling out any weapons she throws what seems to be a grenade. This is it, I think.

But no, it rolls to the ground and opens releasing fog. The men surround the car on both sides.

For some time nothing can be heard or seen. I turn to my left and see Mr Holens at the door. He has some serious explaining to do.

Just as I am about to turn around a sword pierces through him and into the window. I scream out loud. But there is no blood. Dust floating through where Mr Holens previously stood.

I see the other turning to see what has happened and his incineration happens in the same way.

Markam and I huddle up together in the middle. Right now starting the car and crashing doesn't seem like a bad plan, but I don't know how to drive.

The door on my right swings open and by what I can see it it's a brown-toned woman with black hair in gold armour.

"Come with me if you don't want to die."
