The Friendship I Care For

In my heart you still occupy a special place

No matter how I try hard to detach

I've been thinking of you all these days

To you there's nothing that can still match.

I won't forget how you've held my hand last night

All those stares that were asking why

I wish I could make it known to you

But that wouldn't be the right thing to do.

Thanks for approahing to know why I'm quiet;

Thanks for understanding that there are things I can't share yet.

I really want to catch up with you

To share my whereabouts and know how you do.

But dear friend I still cannot be

What and who to you I used to be

It's not anymore what I want to do

But all about what I have to do.

Though I'm missing you I have to be strong

This thing I'm doing is for myself's favor

I know with the Lord we can never go wrong

So I asked Him to take care of the friendship I care for.
