Pride

"You have one minute to explain  what in All Sins names is going on or else you will be the next dead body I hear about, and trust me, I'll be the culprit.", Said Pride, his jaw clenched.

Immorality had called him, in a seemingly frantic disposition, trying to tell Pride that a Sin had died. Only, Sins don't die. So Pride came to the conclusion that Immorality was either joking (but he wasn't really the joking type, especially around Pride) or He had somehow sanctified a piece of silver and had killed one of them himself. How he came to this conclusion? Well, the only way to sanctify silver is when a Sin willingly spills his or her blood on Silver and Immorality had an affinity for all things sadistic.

"Listen to me Malcolm, I'm not interested in your empty threats and your the last person I would call if things were not as serious. There was a Sin found stabbed repeatedly, cut up into little pieces, his eyes and heart burnt! You need to warn the others.", Said Immorality with dead seriousness.

"Must you share each explicit detail", said Malcolm as he refrained from an eye roll. "Just keep me informed. I'll let your wicked schemes slide for a week as payment. Also Leo, don't you dare talk to me like that again, I can make your sorry excuse of a life a living hell."

Malcolm hung up the phone and exhaled deeply. A Sin had died. I could die, he thought, I would lose everything I have gained through blood and sweat. Or worse, he gasped at the very thought, they would kill Elizabeth. Malcolm knew he would make whoever even touched Elizabeth in the wrong way pay. She didn't belong to him, she never did. No, Liz was her own person, but he would gladly torture anyone who hurt her. He picked up his phone and began dialing a number.

"Hi, this is Max speaking. Unless your an employee of one of my many businesses or my mother please don't call again."

Malcolm swore, he was thoroughly sure that Max never had a voice mail. Which means that the real Max had said those things and hung up simply to spite him. He dialed again.

"You only have one type of business and your mother died centuries ago. So unless Mommy dearest has now come back from the dead I suggest you don't hang up." Said Malcolm in cold fury. Max however, seemed undeterred and continued his folly.

"So sorry, Max doesn't speak to douchebags or stuck up brats. Please dial another number."said Max in what he believed to be a robot voice. Malcolm thought it sounded as if he were having a brain seizure.

"Tell Max that I will personally come down there and beat the living daylights out of him and tear up that teddy bear he sleeps with like a child at night." Said Malcolm.

"Aw Malcolm why do you have to be so violent? Leave Mr.Mcpuffy out of this.", said Max with a whine.

"Who died?" Asked Malcolm solemnly.

"Woah, this turned dark quickly."

"I'm not joking Max. There are Sins dying. Be serious!"

"Alright. He came to me earlier. On Saturday."

"And? Who did?"

"Acedia a.k.a. Duke. He needed a book from my Archives and I let him have it. Now he's dead. And he didn't even return that book."

Malcolm groaned in frustration. "You didn't think to share this with the others?", He growled.

"Hey, I just found out this morning. I had a tea talk with some important people; I didn't get the time."

"And here I am. Having stalled all my appointments, my phone call with the Mayor and left my very busy job to speak with you."

"I'm touched. Really, but I'm going to have to hang up now."

"Wait. Call Drake and Fiona. I'll talk to the others. The Seven Sins need to discuss this. Tell them to meet me at my mansion tomorrow at 12pm.", Said Malcolm as he hung up on Max with great satisfaction.
Serves him right, he thought as he settled his suit. Now, let's go speak to the Mayor.

"Hi Dave, could you postpone my appointments for tomorrow to a later date?"
