~Hawks pov~

"Fuck off Keigo. You know nothing about me and you never will."

Hawks closed his eyes. There was really no time for stubbornness. Just as Dabi disappeared outside Hawks' apartment, he felt another fuzzy feeling pulse through his body. Oh crap. He looked down. Sure enough, the patterns on his hands have now reached his elbows. This was bad. A few seconds later, Hawks felt a jolt of pain running through his body. He desperately clawed at his neck, as if that would help the invisible force go away. The world dimmed as the grip tightened. Hawks felt himself reaching out to stabilize himself, gripping the door frame tightly. It was no use. His legs became jelly and before long, he toppled over and drifted into total darkness.

What......happened? Hawks groaned, slowly heaved his aching body off the ground. He looked around. That was strange. He clearly didn't remember falling asleep just outside of his apartment door. Hawks sighed. These few days had been rough. He went back into his apartment and practically flew towards the couch. Some time off sounded good. Hawks grabbed the remote control and turned on the TV. Ever since Dabi had caught him in that alleyway, it felt like he hadn't seen the sun in years. Now, time to see what he had missed out on.

To say that Hawks was shocked would be an understatement.

"Breaking News."

"The notorious villain, Dabi, has been taken into custody yesterday evening!"

The remote clattered onto the floor. All of the things that had happened the previous night flooded back into Hawks' memory. Crap. How could he, out of everybody, let Dabi down? His heartbeat quickened, and before long, Hawks started to shake uncontrollably. No. He couldn't let it all end like this.

But it was the only way....

Composing himself, Hawks slowly stood up from the couch. There was nothing he could do. But it was probably for the best. His job was done. Hawks smiled bitterly. Today was the day. It wasn't like he had too long to live anyways. For the first time in weeks, nearly months, Hawks picked up his phone.

305 missed calls and 1062 new texts

Great. Just great. Mirko was worried sick about him, and Endeavour........Well Endeavour's just Endeavour. Hawks took a deep breath. It was his last day in this cruel world anyways, so nothing really mattered anymore. Tonight, he thought.

When the sun sets today, I'll set along with it.

~Dabi's pov~

The metal cuffs felt cold against his wrists. Any passerbyer wouldn't think twice about it, but it was actually a tracking device. Even though it was pretty uncomfortable, he could deal with it. The only problem now was finding Hawks.

It's been several hours already, and there was still no sign of Hawks. Even though Dabi would never admit it, the thought that Hawks, or Keigo, being back in his life was changing him slowly. Sometimes he wondered if he could be with Keigo again. But was he too selfish? Dabi has already ruined his life once by leaving him and yet Hawks showed no sign of hate towards him. He clenched his fists. If only Hawks hated him. Then it would be easier to let go. Sighing, Dabi slowly melted into a dark alleyway to continue his search.

He looked up. Something wasn't right. Dabi squinted his eyes. Someone was above him. But where? He quickly ran to the nearest building and started to climb, higher and higher. If It was actually Hawks, what was he doing there anyways? Then it dawned on him.

~Hawks pov~

Should he go back? Did the world even need someone as pathetic as him? Hawks felt his heartbeat quicken as his breath became ragged. This wasn't right. It should be easy to let go. To just give in to his dark thoughts. Instead, the number two hero sad on the rooftop of an abandoned building, his legs dangling off the edge. Waiting for someone to come. To tell him that they needed him. That he belonged. But reality doesn't meet up to your expectations. Reality breaks you down. From the inside. Until you crack.

But was giving up the only option?

Hawks stares blankly at the dull world in front of him. The sun's rays gave a last little pulse as it disappeared into the horizon. He stood up. Brushed the dust off his clothes. Not that it mattered anyways. Took a step forward. Then another. And then-

.....

"Keigo!"

Hawks whipped his head around. There he was. Dabi, standing on top of the stairs. Running towards him. You would think now, that everything would be ok. Dabi would tell Hawks that he was sorry. Hawks would then fall into his arms. But this was no fairytale. Hawks took one look at Dabi. And the gardenias started to climb up his throat. He couldn't control them anymore. The flowers burst out of Hawks' mouth as he doubled over. Air became a sacred thing as the roots pushed against his lungs. This fairytale was coming to an end. Except there was no happy ending this time.

Hawks glanced weakly at those shining turquoise eyes. He smiled. And toppled over the edge.

Eyes blue,

Like the Atlantic.

And I'm going down,

Like the titanic.
