Chapter 7: Day of Surprises (Part II)

Ginny's POV

"Before? Are you saying that you've known or met her before? Who is she?" Remus says surprised by Harry's words, eager to know more information.

"Let's just say she's known for her 'book-like knowledge'..." Harry says, making two of the students laugh, one nudges Harry in the rib while two of the adults look at the smiling Professor in confusion.

Harry's POV

After I made my comment, Hermione hit me in my side and everyone besides our godfathers started to laugh. We eventually got a breather after a few minutes but then I got a minute to whisper to Hermione if we should tell Remus who she really is or not. We ended up gaining a few awkward looks all around the room until Remus spoke up.

"Is that to mean she's in Ravenclaw? I know I'm supposed to see her tomorrow but what does a whole day matter? Harry, can you ask her to meet us here? I would really like to see her after all these years of waiting."

"Remus as I already told you before, Jasmine isn't ready for anyone to know who she really is or of her existence until she finds her parents. Please understand that it's only up to her if she chooses to be known now or until school."

"Yes, I do understand, you're right. She is fine though, correct?"

"She's more than fine, she's happy." Hermione says a little too quickly for her comfort but she smiles nonetheless.

"That's great news, Ms Granger. Do you know her well, then?" Sirius asks from beside us.

"You could say that we are close enough to be the same person." Hermione says earning another round of laughter from the three students around her.

"So what are you here for exactly?" Remus asked the four of us teenagers.

"Snape had told us about a letter that had arrived for Hermione before we left for lunch and we had thought it would be a good idea if we'd use his office for privacy since everywhere else is under construction." I said before Hermione took over for more explanation.

"A two weeks ago I had asked minister Kingsley to help me search for my parents in Australia. He had told me that I should remain here while a small group of wizards could do an investigation to locate them. I was told the letter consists of both good and bad news, that is why I've asked Harry, Draco and Ginny to come along."

"I see. Well in that case would you like us to stay too or can you handle this alone with you friends?" Remus asked, knowing that Hermione usually deals with her emotions either alone or with one specific person (Ginny).

"Actually Remus we have to leave now due to Ministry check up. Remember they are to know if we're healthy and well enough to start our upcoming jobs of sorts." Sirius says in a know-it-all kind of way.

"Right, thank you for the reminder. Do you remember where we have to meet them?"

"I believe it's at my house." With that in mind, we all said our goodbyes and exchanged a few hugs and handshakes before they apparated away to Number Twelve.

After they left, we all took a seat around the table. Hermione and I took our spot on both sides of Snape, Hermione on his left taking Remus's seat, while I was on his right. Draco sat next to my sister and Ginny took her place beside me as she usually does. "Ok my dear, would you like me to read it first and then tell you of its content or do you want to read it yourself?" He asked, pulling out the letter from his robe pocket.

"I'm a little too nervous, but can you read it... please father?" Hermione says, her voice matching her shaking hand. In which Draco scoots over towards her to rub her back and Hermione hesitates to hold his other hand, earning a look from Snape.
