Percy lead the group towards his fathers building, not bothering to show I.D. or anything else like that. They knew him here, so he could literally just waltz in.

He made his way to the elevator and up to the second highest floor.

"Want to hear a joke about ghosts?" Leo asked, smiling.

"Sure," Nico replies, a bored expression on his pale face.

"That's the spirit!" Leo said, dying of laughter at his pun. Percy rolled his eyes and gave a small chuckle, opening the glass doors to see his father.

Poseidon looked at his son with surprise and curiosity. He got introduced one by one to each person, but pulled his son over anyways.

"Son, why did they trust you so easily? I thought they would do it but being this happy?"

Percy gave a nervous chuckle, "well, they weren't happy. But then I used my powers because I need them. There was no harm, just that one thing,"

"You know that will just make them more upset when you release them,"

Perch glanced away, not meeting his fathers gaze. Poseidon looked at his son, "you are going to release them, right?"

"I'm not sure. It's nothing bad, I swear,"

"No som. This is what your mother started out as. You are to release them the moment we get back from the mission,"

"Okay. But what are we gonna do with Aphrodite when we finish the mission?" Percy asked, switching topics.

"Bury her,"

"No," Percy said immediately, shutting that idea down as days as possible, "I'm not killing her,"

"Percy,"

"No!"

"It's the only way,"

Percy held his fathers gaze, "that's exactly what I thought when I killed Grover. And there is always another way,"

"There is but you won't like it,"

"Anything is better than murder,"

Poseidon repeated the old chant he had taught his son, "born from the angels yet arriving from hell,-"

"Be very careful or you'll fall under his spell," Percy finished, "yeah dad, I know that. It was the only thing I had to go on you by, why bring it up,"

"But when he realizes his mistakes, he'll right his wrongs," Poseidon said in a shaky voice, "for its a thousand deaths tomorrow, or one death tonight,"

Percy looked down for a long moment before meeting his fathers sea green eyes, "I have to do it, don't I?"

"I'm sorry. But for now let's go find your sister,"

Perch thought about correcting his father but he decided against it. "I'll get her,"

Perch hitched a ride easily and with a simple hum made it to piper McLean jail, only to be met by the cold glare of his sister.

"What do you want?" She spat.

"I came to apologize. And ask for help. I need to defeat mom and get people back on my side after it's over, and your the only one I have,"

Piper smiled, "than what are we waiting for? Get me out of this jail cell already!"
