Christmas ar hogwarts part 2

Me and Harry were about to head out of the dormitory while everyone was asleep. He had the invisibility cloak ready. He gestured for me to get under the claok. "Invisibility power remember?" I whispered and turned invisibility. Thanks to Professor McGonogall I have learned to control my powers quite well. He nodded and covered himself in the cloak. I turned invisible and we headed out. I bumped I to Harry a few times because I couldn't see him. "Ouch" Harry grunted. "Sorry" I giggled.

When we arrived at the library Harry held out the lamp he had. We walked into the restricted section and and Harry started whispering names of the books, I was keeping a look out the Harry took the cloak off, and I made myself visible again. He's sets the lamp down, and grabs a book. He opens it and a face made out of the pages oops oh of the book. I jumped and Harry quickly closed the book. "Who's there!?" Someone says. "Me and Harry both look behind us. Harry grabbed his cloak but when he did that he knocked over the lamp and caused it to break. We ran through the library.
"I know you're in there, you can't hide" the voice said. Harry and I quickly turned invisible again. Then from around the corner, we saw filch walking our way.
"Who is it, show yourself!" He said. Me and Harry carefully snuck passed him then finally got out of the library. We are startled by Filch's cat, we started backing up and walking the other direction. We turned the corner and saw Professor Snape and Professor Quirrell. Snape was holding him by the collar of his shirt against the wall. "You don't want me as you enemy Quirrell" Snape said, "I-I d-don't know w-what you mean" Quirrell said.
" you know perfectly well what I mean" Snape finished. Harry and I were walking around them when Snape turned in our direction. He motioned his hand towards us, me and Harry held our breath and quickly backed up.
"We'll have another little chat soon, when you've had time to decide where you loyalties lie" Snape spoke again.
Then filch walked up holding Harry's lamp, "I found this in the restricted section, it's still hot, that means theres a student out of bed" he hissed. They went off, and me and Harry went into a room.

Harry took the cloak off and I became visible. We looked at each other and scanned the room. There was a mirror in at the back of the room. Harry started walking towards it and I followed behind. When we got to the mirror we just stood informer of it, looking at the details. I walked closer to the mirror and lightly gasped. Harry stood next to me. Our parents reflected on the mirror, both me and Harry looked behind each other, but they were only in the mirror. "Mom?" Harry said smiling and mom smiled and nodded, "Dad?" I said after, he smiled and nodded as well. Harry reaches his hand out and put it on the mirror, then mom put her hand on his shoulder. He touched his hand to his shoulder like he could feel her hand there. "Y/n we have to show Ron this!" Harry said.

"Ron! Ron! You've really got to see this, Ron you've got to see this!" Harry said barging into the room and pulling the covers of him.
"Ron, Ron come on get out of bed!"I said
"Why?" Ron complained 
"There's something you've got to see!"Harry explained.
"Now come on!" I said grabbing his arm.

We got back to the mirror room and ran over to the mirror. "Come on, come look it's our parents!" Harry said rushing Ron over.
"I only see us?" Ron questioned.
"Look in properly, go on stand there" Harry said pointing to where Ron should stand.
"There, you see them don't you"
"That's me!" Ron said excitingly
"Only I'm head boy" Ron said.
"And I'm holding the quidditch cup!" He spoke again
"And bloody hell! I'm quidditch captain too!"he said happily. "I look good" he said. I rolled my eyes playfully and giggled.
"Harry do you think this is the mirror that shows the future!" Ron asked. I laughed lightly.
"No" I said and hey both looked at me confused.
"This is the mirror in which you see what you most desire, I've read about it" I explained "yeah and how can it if our parents are dead" Harry said sadly. I sighed and walked up to the mirror.

Me and Harry would go to the mirror often, it was like they were actually here with us. My whole life I've wanted to know who my real parents were, or know what it's like to live without my adoptive parents. We were watching in the mirror when we heard a familiar voice from behind us. "Back again, Y/n and Harry?" We turned around to see Professor Dumbledore standing tall.
"I see that you like so many before you, have discovered the delights of the mirror of erised" he said. Me and Harry looked at each other. " I trust by now you have realized what it does?" He questioned.
"Let me give you a clue" he walked towards us and put a hand on my shoulder.
"The happiest man on earth would look in this mirror and see himself exactly as he is" he said.
"So then it shows us what we want?" Harry asked "whatever we want" I spoke.
"Yes, and no" he said. " it shows us what nothing more or less then the deepest and most desperate desires of our hearts" he said looking down at us.
" now you two" he gestured to me and Harry, " who have never known your family, you see them standing beside you"
"But remember this, this mirror gives us neither knowledge or truth. Men have wasted away in front of it. Even gone mad. That is why tomorrow, it will be moved to a new home" he said. Me and Harry looked at him. " and I must ask you two not to go looking for it again" he said seriously. "It does not do dwell on dreams"me and Harry nodded and then headed back to the dormitory.
