'Just because you keep trying to do the right thing, doesn't mean your guaranteed a happy ending.'
-Junko KanameI watched as the winged hero stared down at me.
"Your the kid?" Hawks asked, looking at me.
"Your the No. 2 pro hero then?" I asked sarcastically.
"I have a few ideas why your standing at my door, but I can only sense one is right." I told him as he scoffed.
"As you can see, the building from across this one was on fire. And was lit by a villain. In tell says they interacted with you before setting it." Hawks said, as I turned my head to the use-to-be set on fire building.
"Oh, that guy. Yeah, he came." I nodded, making way for Hawks to enter.
"Thank you for finally letting me in." Hawks said, about to take a step inside.
"Woah!" I yelled, making him stop mid-step.
"Were not animals. Take your damn shoes off." I told him as he sighed.
"Fine then." Hawks said, removing his boots.
"Good. Because if you can see, that guy left marks on my carpet." I said, pointing over to shoe marks on the carpet near the counter.
"So he was here." Hawks said, taking a look at the footprints.
I trailed my eyes towards his socks which made me laugh.
"Didn't know pro hero's wear chicken socks." I said, laughing at his chicken socks.
"Hey! There a great fashion sense!" Hawks yelled at me, as I kept on laughing.
"Sure, sure, sure." I said, rolling my eyes.
I walked over to the couch and turned on the T.V. Just my luck, I see Hawks on the T.V talking to reporters.
"How does it feel being the No. 2 hero?" The reporter asked Hawks as he stared at the camera.
"Feels good. Nothing like being the first youngest hero to be on the billboard." Hawks said, winking at the camera.
"Next." I said, changing the channel.
"I gotta admit." Hawks said, looking at the T.V. "I do look good on T.V." Hawks said posing, as I rolled my eyes.
After a few questions about what Dabi did here, which I sarcastically answered all of them, Hawks could finally leave.
"It seems he'll come back here for revenge." Hawks told me walking towards the door.
"Oh, he will." I said, trying to sound Japanese.
"Stop. I like the British one better." Hawks told me trying to have a British accent.
"Well that's good. By the way. You don't seem that bad, from how the T.V described you." I told him as he did a small decent smile.
That quickly changed when he realized what he was doing.
"Well, I think we'll have to patrol this area more. Just to make sure he doesn't come again." Hawks said I shook my head.
"Not necessary. I can take care of myself." I said shrugging.
"I've heard so many people say that. Not a single one of them could. Most of them ended up injured or killed. Lets not let that happen to you, sweetheart." Hawks said winking.
"Oh..." I said, walking up to him and putting my arm on his shoulders.
"I won't get injured. And hopefully you won't as well." I said, as his eyes widened.
"Well then. It seems you should be off." I said, turning around.
"Oh, yes..." Hawks said, snapping out of it.
"Until next time, birdie." I said, waving a bye.
"Yeah, next time." Hawks said, showing me his signature smile and flying off confused.
"Y/n, can you get me the needles?" Recovery girl asked me.
"Sure," I said, opening the cupboards.
"I heard that there was a fire across the building your staying at. Is everything alright?" Recovery girl asked me, which I sighed at.
"You know how it is, Chiyo. Villains wanting me to do something for them, me playing tricks on them, then them getting all angry and blowing something or someone up." I told her as it was her turn to sigh.
"Haven't changed one bit since then." Recovery girl sighed.
"No, apart from the fact that I couldn't save them." I told Recovery girl as she was shocked.
"You did all you could, Y/n."
"But it wasn't enough. If only they let me- No, if only I was fast enough. I could've at least saved them." I said, staring down at the needles.
"You know how he was. He cared so much about you. It wasn't your fault." Recovery girl told me as I kept staring at the needles.
'How was it not my fault?' I thought, looking down.
I entered my apartment and dropped my satchel. Sleep wasn't what I needed now, alcohol was.
I grabbed a bottle out from my secret stash and chucked it down.
One bottle turned into two. Two turned into three. And before I knew it, I had already finished about fifteen.
"I have a drinking problem. Should I care? Nah..." I said, chugging the alcohol down.
*Ding dong* The door bell rang, interrupting me from finishing my drinks.
I opened it with one eye closed. I wouldn't really have expected to see these people.
"Uh, may I help you?" I asked, looking at the dog police men, Hawks and Dabi with handcuffs.
"Hello, miss Y/n. I have a favor to ask you." The dog police men asked me as all three of them eyed my drink.
"Wait a minute..." I said, looking at all three of them individually.
"You here. And you. The handcuffs, suitcases, police dog, security..." I said, with my eyes widening.
I sighed and chugged more of the drink down.
"If there staying with me, I'll only request a few things." I said, looking up at the police dog.
"Roger that, miss." The dog said nodding.
"You people are lucky." I said, staring at Dabi getting his cuffs off.
"How is that?" Hawks asked me.
"I can't be bothered killing you's." I said, looking at Dabi step in.
"Nah uh! Were not animals!" I yelled, pointing to his shoes.
"Are you serious?" Dabi asked, as Hawks took off his and entered.
"Wanna live here, you live under my rules. Take the shoes off." I said, pointing to his shoes.
"Gotta listen to what she says." Hawks said shrugging as Dabi rolled his eyes.
"Good. Lets get somethings straight." I said, closing the door as the police dog left.
