"Okay, just don't skip dinner." I let out sadly. "Bye. I love you."

"I love you," JiYong answered through the other line as I pressed the red button of my phone.

I breathed heavily as I put my phone at my bed carelessly. I felt a pang in my chest when my husband told me he's not coming home tonight.

He's overwhelmed about his work that he needs to stay the night to solve some huge problems in their company. Is it that huge though?

JiYong's phone call made me just want to stay in my room for the rest of the night.

What's the problem anyway?

He usually tells me everything, no secrets but now, I can sense that he's hiding something. He's answering my questions with just yes or no then changes the topic when I asked why.

I groaned loudly and laid on my bed, caressing my bump and started humming a lullaby.

Maybe he's scared of my parents? But no, we've surpassed that already.

Dad and mom's not saying anything about JiYong or maybe they're backstabbing him without my knowledge? Is that it?

Did they blackmail JiYong?

"Darling..." Mother called behind my door, "...dinner's ready."

I lazily stood up, literally dragging my feet towards my door, opening it. "I don't feel like eating."

"Oh Dara..." Mom held my hand and pulled me away from my room, "...you need to eat or I'll call JiYong and tell him you're being stubborn again."

I sighed heavily as I let her drag me downstairs, "He's not coming home tonight."

Mom just squeezed my hand and led me to the dining area where my dad was already at his spot.

"It's alright darling..." Mom reassured, "...he's a busy man. This isn't new."

"It is new..." I let out, sitting on my spot across mother and to the left side of my father, "He's always home when we eat dinner. This is the first time."

Mother sighed and looked at father who's confused as to what's going on, "Well, there's first time for everything."

"JiYong's not coming home for dinner?" Dad finally asked, "Is he that busy?"

"I know right?" I let out defeatedly and sighed.

"He's gone for a long time from his company..." Mom answered, putting food on her plate, "Maybe he really is needed there."

I just huffed and stuff the food on my plate. I take back what I said about not eating dinner.

Mom's food is always delicious, how can I say no to that?

"Anyway, I want to ask you something..." I breathed, "Did you blackmail JiYong that's why he's not coming home?"

Dad let out a chuckle as Mom just coughed, I eyed them both and Dad came to speak, "Why would we do that? We're trying to earn your trust, honey."

"And besides, he is Mr. Kwon, the CEO of the world's largest company..." Mom spat after drinking water, "...it's not impossible that he's facing a huge crisis right now."

I pouted at both of them and they just chuckled, "But he's not home..."

"Darling it's normal..." Mom let out, "I was like that when your dad couldn't come home because of his work."

"But he didn't say anything..." I whined, "...it's like he's keeping a secret from me."

Dad just kept quiet and mom answered, "He'll tell you everything when he's home."
