Tabitha POV:
Colson and I ended up hanging out for the rest of the day and by sunset, we ended up at a park, sharing life experiences and goals.
"Oh, I almost forgot," He said pulling my necklace out from his pocket.
He stood up from his swing and came to stand behind me. Colson carefully placed the chain around my neck as if he is afraid of breaking me.
"So you never told me why you picked me of all people. I mean I'm sure there are lots of other girls that go to more than one of your concerts." I looked over at him.
He laughed. "You were never like anyone else. I saw it in your eyes, night after night."
"Then why did it take you so long to call me out?" I raised my eyebrows playfully.
"Because...I didn't want to hurt you. I'm a good guy but when it comes to girls..." He sighed.
"What? What is it?"
"Your mom is right Tabitha. I'm only going to hurt you, I wish that weren't true but it's just how I am."
I shook my head. "I don't believe you. I just think you have been hurt too many times and haven't found the right person to put your heart back together."
"Do you think...you could be that person?" He asked, seriously.
"Maybe. I could always try...you don't deserve to hurt as much as you do. You make so many other people happy and it's your turn."
He nodded silently. "Enough with the heavy stuff...there's a party going on at my house right now. Wanna go?"
I bit my lip. "I have school in the morning..." I trailed off.
"C'mon, I know Shaker isn't that important to you." He snickered.
I reached over and playfully punched him in the arm.
"Fine. But I need to be home before midnight...okay?"
He jumped off his swing once again and held out his hand for me to grab. "Yes ma'am."

Colson's home is humble yet very incredible at the same; he lives in a very nice condo in downtown Cleveland.
We walked through the front door and the smell of weed and alcohol immediately hit my nostrils, I'm not at all accustomed to those kinds of smell so my eyes watered a bit. I have never been to a legit party before so I had no idea what to do, but if I could survive countless MGK concerts, this should be a piece of cake...right?
Colson drug me farther into the house until we came up on a group of people I instantly recognized as his inner circle: Slim, Dub, Ash, and Rook. Everyone looked curiously at me except for Ash, she just looked downright disappointed in me.
"Tabitha I'm pretty sure you're familiar with these guys. Slim, Dub, Rook. This is the girl from the concert the other night." Colson smiled, still holding on to my hand.
"It's nice to put a face to the name that I've been hearing so much over the past 24 hours." Rook laughed.
"Yeah, it's always nice meeting a gorgeous girl." Dub laughed.
"You know you shouldn't be here Tabitha." Ash snapped.
I gave her a weird look and Colson dropped my hand and crossed his arms over his chest.
"What the fuck is your problem?" He asked.
"You know what my problem is. She does not belong here."
