Tabitha POV:

The hospital let Colson go after they kept him for the night, he would have to take it easy for a while until his ribs have fully healed. I'm still concerned about him having access to strong pain medication but I don't know how to confront him about it without offending him. I don't want Colson thinking that I am doubting his abilities to control himself but old habits die hard.

I didn't even think about seeing my parents again after what happened. I never thought that I would be in such a dark place with the people who brought me into this world. For all those years, how could I not see what horrible people they are?

"You okay?" I asked softly as Colson and I sat in the airport waiting for our plane back to Los Angeles.

He nodded and laid his head on my shoulder. "Yeah, just tired."

"I'm so sorry about my mom. I never meant for you to get hurt." I ran my fingers through his hair.

Colson sighed. "It's not your fault, baby. I'm just glad you're not the one she hurt."

"Did you take your medicine today?" I asked.

"Nah, shit makes me too damn loopy. I have an album to finish. I'll just take some Advil or something." He answered lazily.

A smile spread across my face when he said that, I wouldn't have to worry about any problems that the medication would cause.

Colson and I tumbled into the house, tired from the flight but glad to be back with our family. Everyone immediately rushed to Colson's side, asking if he's alright.

"Yeah, I'm fine guys. Give me some fucking air." He shouted, walking out of the room.

Ash turned to me and frowned. "What's up with him?"

I shook my head. "Nothing just give him some space, seeing my parents was a little crazy for both of us."

She nodded in understanding and quickly changed the subject. "Casie is upstairs sleeping and....Tasha finally high tailed it out of here." Ash laughed.

I sighed in relief, Tasha created destruction everywhere she went and I'm more than glad that she is out of the picture for now. Despite my negative thoughts towards her, I can't help but wonder what she was like before all of the jealousy and stress got to her.

I shook off those thoughts and went to Casie's room to see that Colson had already beat me there. He was curled up next to his daughter, both of them sleeping peacefully. I leaned against the door frame and let a large smile spread across my face. How did I ever get so lucky?

"I see you watching us....creep." Colson mumbled as he opened one crystal blue eye.
