Colson POV:
Just when I thought Tabitha was out, her eyes fluttered open and she looked angrier than I have ever seen her. She tried to get out of my arms and stand up but I held her back down. I swear this woman is stronger than anyone would have expected.
“Baby you need to relax. Do you need to go to he hospital?” I asked.
She shook her head. “Tasha, get your ass over here.” Tabitha barked as Tasha started walking away.
“Look I—” Tasha started.
Tabitha finally managed to break free of my hold and stand up on her own two feet.
“I didn’t ask your ass to speak. What the fuck is wrong with you? Hitting me with a God damn vase?” Tabitha walked over to Tasha, not even caring that there is blood trickling down the side of her face.
Tabitha grabbed Tasha by the throat and threw her to the ground. “I am sick and tired of people thinking I’m some kind of punching bag. I have tried so hard to keep my cool but you fucked with the wrong person Tasha.” Tabitha’s foot collided with Tasha’s side and no one made a move to stop her.
I’m internally conflicted right now, Tabitha is the woman I love. But despite all the wrong that Tasha has done, she gave birth to my baby girl…my everything.
“Tabitha baby, stop.” I pulled her away.
Tabitha looked over at me and narrowed her eyes. “Are you defending her?” She raised her voice.
“Yes…no. She is the mother of my child.” I said nervously.
“Who assaulted me!” She screamed.
“You don’t need to stoop down to her level. Let Tasha get her punishment for what she did to you. Okay?”
Tabitha nodded and crouched down to Tasha’s level who is crying in pain.
“Trust me, if you weren’t the mother of that beautiful little girl…I would end you. Be fucking lucky Tasha because the next time you disrespect me or my relationship….I won’t have as much mercy. You don’t want to mess with a military brat.” Tabitha growled and stood back up, coming to stand next to me. “You can stay because you need to spend as much time as you can with Casie…you won’t have her long after this.”
Tasha weakly laughed. “You are not the judge of that. Casie is between Colson and I.”
“She’s right. And don’t think I’m not gonna let my daughter know what you did to Tabby. Casie loves and looks up to her. You better hope Casie forgives you.” I wrapped my arms around Tabitha. “C’mon, let’s go check you out and get this blood cleaned up.” I scooped her up into my arms.
We passed Casie in the hallway, her eyes scanned over Tabitha. She said nothing and followed me into my bathroom.
