I sat in my room the next morning. "Ugh time for school..." I mutter before getting ready in the same uniform type thing i wear everyday.

I walked downstairs and opened the door to see Cole on the sidewalk.
"Hey Cole." I say smiling. He hugs me.
"Hey. Ready for school?"
"No. But ya know. We'll get through it." I say. He nods.
"I have something to tell you." He says once we start walking to school.
"What?" I ask.
"My parents are trying to send me away to a psychiatric school. They think it's all in our heads. It also says your grandma is letting them put you there as well." He explains and shows me the pamphlet.
"You're kidding." I say in disbelief.
"I'm not. They're gonna get us at lunch." He says.
Melanie walks up to us at our lockers which are right next to each other's. "Y'all ok?" She asks.
"Yea." Cole says, just as he opens his locker one of his pill bottles falls out. He picks it up. "Its to help me feel normal, but, ya know. They just make me feel like passing out." He says.
"Its ok. Everyone here is on some shit." She says and starts naming them off.
"What about the new girl?" Cole asks.
"I don't know yet." She says. "But we are all going to the lake. Ditch it all. I already have my dad's car." She adds holding up the keys to her dad's car.
"Ok let's get to class Cole." I say and we all walk to class.
I'm zoning out in class, until I hear the bell ring. "Cole, iris? Cole's parents are here for y'all." The teacher says.
I walk to my locker with Cole. "I think we should go. Get away. I mean, the lake is supposed to be huge. It will just be us, Melanie, and maybe a few others. Please Cole?" I ask doing puppy dog eyes.
"Fine. We need to hurry though." He says. He grabs my hand and we run outside to Mel's car. Cole jumps into the front seat and i climb into the back.
Just as he's about to close the door, Jimmy and his friends get in, pushing me around until im out of the car.
"Seriously guys? Let her in." Melanie says.
"She can sit with me." Cole says. He pulls me into his lap and closes the door.
"So are y'all a thing now?" Boom Boom asks.
"No. Why would you think that?" Cole asks nervously.
"I don't know. But y'all always act like that. Sorry." She says.
We pull up at a gas station. I get a coke slushy and stand by Melanie.
"Here Cole. These fit you." I say and put a pair of heart shaped sunglasses on him. He laughs and i walk out to the cat with Melanie.
"So...you and Cole?" She asks wiggling her eyebrows.
"W-what? No, we just kissed...and maybe made out..." I mumble the last part, embarrassed.
"YAS MA SHIP IS SAILING!!!!" Melanie yells putting her fists in the air. I shush her.
"Please don't tell anyone tho Mel's." I say. She rolls her eyes playfully and Cole comes out with a bag.
"What all did you buy? We're gonna be on a house boat." I say with a joking smile.
"Nothing." He says quickly and we all pile up back into the car, driving to the lake.
I get out, followed by Cole and everyone else. There is WAY too many people.
"I think I changed my mind about this, Cole." I say.
"Too late now!! We're gonna have so much fun!!" Melanie says dancing around and mingling.
Cole looks to the side. I follow his gaze to see pheobe getting out of a truck. "Come on guys!!!" Bee says, dragging us to the crowd.
I stood with Cole on the top level of the boat, staring at the water. "It's so quiet..." I say.
"Yea. Wanna go join the others?" Cole asks. I smile and follow him. "Sure." I say and we go into the room.
"What y'all doing?" Cole asks.
"2 minutes in heaven. Like 7, but more realistic." Boom Boom says.
"Cool. Can we join?" I ask.
"Sure. Whoever has a pair goes in." Jimmy says and cole and I sit down. We all turn our cards over. Cole and i. Great.
"Ok you 2, get in there. See y'all in 2 minutes." Boom Boom says and closes the closet doors.
Awkward tension fills the space, so thick you couldn't cut it. Until Cole's voice says "so....what now?"
"I don't know. I've never played this before." I say, letting out a laugh.
He comes closer. "How about this?" He says.
"What?" I ask, before i feel his lips on mine. After i process what's happening, I kiss back, smiling into the kiss. He sets his hands on my waist, and I slip my arms around his neck. He brings me closer and slides his tongue over my bottom lip (I'M CRINGING)
Just then, the closet door opens to reveal Diego. "Nice. Guys, they were kissing!!" Diego. We pull away, faces red as we go back to our seats.
"So, was it true? About y'all's cult experience? The blood cult? They tried to kill y'all?" Diego asks.
"Guys stop!! Cole and iris don't like speaking about the blood cult or the devil's book!!" Melanie says, pouring drinks.
"Wait. We never told you about the devil's book."
"Yes you did."
"No we didn't. How did you know?" I ask.
"Because. I signed my name in it." Melanie says grabbing a hook and turning around to face us.
