Christmas Eve/ Merry Christmas

"Merry Christmas!" S/n said at the top of her lungs. "Christmas ain't even until tomorrow." She looks at me. "Christmas was from the beginning of November 20th, so it's legally Christmas." I approve of her logic, everyone has been decorating since November 10th, poor November, always getting skipped. We both walked downstairs to see our mom, working in the kitchen. "Mom, you're always in the kitchen,cooking every single day, aren't you tired?" I cross my arms and pouted. "I mean, yeah, the house is always clean and there's not much to do." That is right, since the age of 14, we've always been in charge to have the house clean, she would help us, but as we got older, we decline her offer to help.

"You're right but, come on, it's the season where you need a break or at least more help." My mom sighs. "Okay, okay, I'll take a break, you're right." I smile pleasingly. "The gang is coming over tonight to help decorate, they can help use prepare for dinner tomorrow night."

"But you have to go shopping for the groceries, if you really want me to take a break today and tomorrow." My sister and I nodded. "Of course, we won't disappoint." We both saluted her and she shakes her head with a giggle. "Still the same girls I've raised." The pizzeria would usually be open during Christmas but, things happened and people can't make physical contact as much. "Just come upstairs so I can give you the money." After she gave us the money, I went to call someone.

"Heya Carly, I was just calling to ask if you guys are willing to go grocery shopping." After a few moments on the phone, she said everyone is completely fine with that and we could get them. "And hurry, we're bored!" She whines then ends the call. "Let's hurry up, cuppycake being a drama queen." We left to get the others.

"If social distancing was a law, we would have all been going to jail." Bonnie says pulling his mask down. "I mean, you took your mask off so you clearly don't have a big problem with it." He pouts. "Its not like we can get sick, well, not catch illnesses." I roll my eyes. "I would say you're around germy kids all day but, the pizzeria has been closed like other restaurants."

"Quarantine is the only thing that didn't affect us, it's not like we go outside." Foxy sticks his head out the window. "We missed hanging out with you girls, you would actually try to take us places." Chica pitches up, we haven't seen each other in almost a month. "I don't think we can all go to the store, some of us has to go back to the house." During this time, it's best if you shop alone but, I've always seen a whole family shopping together and no one stops them. "Oh, we can finish decorate the house, I definitely want to help with that." "Okay Carly, you're the first one to volunteer to stay home."

"How about the boys decorate and the girls go shopping, minus Carly." S/n says and Bonnie groans. "Oh my gosh, decorating sounds like too much work."

"Come on dude, would you rather wait in long lines that can take a while or be able to decorate and take breaks if needed?" It didn't take long for him to say decorating, it sounds way better honestly. "Okay, since everyone agreed, just have to stop at home." I didn't realize the slight traffic we might have getting home, imagine going to the busy supermarket.

"It looks like everyone wanted to go out today." Freddy looks at all the cars passing us."Quarantine was just killing people, so when everyone was allowed to leave, of course everyone left their homes." Once we were finally home, my mom greeted us. "You're back from the store already, isn't there major back up on the roads?" The boys and Carly got out of the car. "No ma'am, they were just dropping us off so we could help decorate." Goldie said to her and she nods her head. "So the boys are going to help? Okay then, Carly didn't want to join the girls?" The pink haired girl shakes her head. "Decorating is more fun."

"Y/n, I know you're not the type to have a lot of patience, so good luck out there." Mom waves us off. "I know Mom, I know, at least I could have a bit of patience, S/n doesn't have any at all." I feel her lightly smack the back of my head. "Let's just go." I giggle and left the driveway.

Once there, no parking spot was available. "First traffic, now this?" S/n complains. "Couldn't we just ordered from online?" Chica shakes her head. "It's better this way even though, it's a lot of work, plus I never really shopped before, it doesn't sound too bad."
