Safe House

January 2nd,2016 In the QuinJet

"The news is loving you guys. Nobody else is. There's been no official call for Banner's arrest, but it's in the air." Maria says through a video call. "Stark Relief Foundation?" Tony asks. "Already on the scene. How's the team?" She asks. " Everyone's...we took a hit. We'll shake it off." Tony tells her. "Well for now I'd stay in stealth mode, and stay away from here," Maria warns. "So, run and hide?" Clint asks from where he was sitting. "Until we can find Ultron, I don't have a lot else to offer," Maria says sadly. "Neither do we" Clint answeres after seeing the rest of the team's state.

"Hey, you wanna switch out?" Clint asks Tony who was flying the Quinjet. " No, I'm good. If you wanna get some kip, now's a good time, cause we're still a few hours out"Tony answeres. " A few hours from where?" He asks confused. "A safe house".

A couple of hours later the quinjet lands at a rather large Cabin in the middle of nowhere.

" What is this place?" Thor asks his boyfriend. "A safe house?" Bruce answeres also not knowing what this is. "Pepper!" Tony yells entering the house. "Pepper?" Clint mumbles to himself. "Tony?" a voice from inside the house says which the 3 clueless men think is Pepper. Tony then helps Nat sit down on the sofa that was beside him just as Pepper walks in with Madison. "Oh, god what's wrong with Nat?!" Pepper says after seeing Tony set her down. "I'll tell you later" He answeres kissing her forehead.

"Can somebody explain to us what's happening?" Clint says from the back. " Oh yeah sorry, for the confusion. This is a Safe House that I set up a couple of years ago for situations like this. Since Ultron happened I sent Pepper, the twins, and Madison here so they could stay safe." Tony explains. "Oh," Clint said before sitting down on the chair beside him. "If you guys are tired ill show you to your rooms," Tony said seeing how tired they all looked. " Steve gets Tasha, Ill carry madison up," Tony tells Steve who picks Natasha up bridal style.

Tony then showed everybody their rooms and got them settled in and then went to his room where Pepper and the twins were.

"Tony, what's going on with the team?" Pepper asks when he sits down on the bed putting Harley on his lap. " Maximoffs. Wanda showed them all except me and Clint these visons that mess with them. Natasha probably had one fo her in the RedRoom and Bruce something about the Hulk which made him go all crazy. I don't know what Steve and Thor saw but it shook them up too" Tony explained. "Oh, Tony," Pepper says sympathetically and hugs Tony. "I'm gonna go out and cut the wood," Tony says and Pepper nods.

Outside Steve and Tony were both chopping wood.

"Thor didn't say where he was going for answers?" Tony asks realizing Thor left. "Sometimes my teammates don't tell me things. I was kind of hoping Thor would be the exception." Steve answers. "Yeah, give him time. We don't know what Wanda showed him." Tony answers knowing the state of his teammates. "'Earth's Mightiest Heroes.' Pulled us apart like cotton candy." Steve says to himself. "Seems like you walked away alright," Tony says. "Is that a problem?" Steve asks defensively. "I don't trust a guy without a dark side. Call me old fashioned" Tony answeres chopping another piece of wood. "Well let's just say you haven't seen it yet." Steve answers. 

"You know Ultron is trying to tear us apart, right?" Tony says wanting to stop talking about this. "Well, I guess you'd know. Whether you tell us is a bit of a question." Steve retorts. "Banner and I were doing research," Tony says. "That would affect the team," Steve tells him. "That would end the team. Isn't that the mission? Isn't that the "why" we fight, so we can end the fight, so we get to go home?" Tony says raising his voice. "Every time someone tries to win a war before it starts, innocent people die. Every time." Steve says which makes Tony look away.

"Sorry to interrupt boys but Tony, the tractor isn't working," Pepper says interrupting their argument. "Yeah, I'll give her a kick," Tony says about to walk away. "Don't take from my pile" Tony says to Steve before leaving.

" Hello, Deere. Tell me everything. What ails you?" Tony says walking up to the tractor. "Do me a favor. Try not to bring it to life." Fury says walking into the barn out of nowhere. "Jesus Pepper" Tony mutters under his breath. "I get it, Maria Hill called you, right? Was she ever not working for you?" Tony says now turning to Fury. "Artificial intelligence. You never even hesitated." Fury says ignoring what Tony said before. " Look, it's been a really long day, like, Eugene O'Neill long, so how's about we skip to the part where you're useful?" Tony says bored. " Look me in the eye and tell me you're going to shut him down." Fury firmly says. " You're not the director of me." Tony retorts. 

" I'm not the director of anybody. I'm just an old man, who cares very much about you." Fury says honestly. "And I'm the man who killed the Avengers. I saw it. I didn't tell the team, how could I? I saw them all dead, Nick. I felt it. The whole world, too. It's because of me. I wasn't ready. I didn't do all I could." Tony finally tells him. "The Wanda girl, she's working you, Stark. Playing on your fear." Fury tells him. "wasn't tricked, I was shown. It wasn't a nightmare, it was my legacy. The end of the path I started us on." Tony corrects. "You've come up with some pretty impressive inventions, Tony. War isn't one of them." Fury honestly answers. " I watched my friends die. You'd think that'd be as bad as it gets, right? Nope. Wasn't the worst part." "The worst part is that you didn't" Fury finishes. 

 Seoul, Korea

"Scream, and your entire staff dies. I could've killed you, Helen, the night we met. I didn't." Ultron says once Helen notices him. " Do you expect a thank you note?" Helen asks sarcastically. " I expect you to know why," Ultron says. "The Cradle," Helen says realizing what he wanted. "This is the next thing, Tony."  Her recorded voice says. "This...is the next me," Ultron tells her. "The regeneration cradle prints tissue, it can't build a living body" Helen worriedly says. "It can, you can. You lack the materials. You're a brilliant woman, Helen. But we all have room to improve." Ultron tells Hellen who was now in mind control by the scepter.

Thor was now in London waiting for Erik by a car with civilian clothing on.

"I like the look. If you're going for inconspicuous, though, near miss." Erik says noticing Thor. "I need your help," Thor says. "It's nice to be needed," Erik says now knowing why Thor was here. "It's dangerous," Thor warns. "I'd be disappointed if it wasn't," Erik says getting in the car.
