Superman X Reader Short Stories.

2: Trouble At The Daily Planet.

Location: Daily Planet, Metropolis
Time: 4:00pm
Y/N's POV

I had just sat down at my desk after coming back from an interview with the Metropolis police chief. I typed in my password and unlocked my computer so I could type up the interview and email it to Perry.

I noticed a folded piece of paper on my desk that had my name on it. I recognized Clark's handwriting immediately. I smiled as I picked it up and read what it said.

My love,

I'm sorry I left early. I had some errands to run. But I have a surprise for you when you get home. I can't wait to see you. I love you.

I chuckled as I put the note in my pocket. Clark was so sweet. We had been dating for a year already.

Flashback

Clark had asked me to move in with him after my apartment had been broken into twice. The second time, I had been there when they broke in. I managed to hide under my bed and call the cops, who arrived just as the thieves found me. That was the first time I was rescued by Superman. The men were about to kill me, when he crashed through the window and got them away from me. I'll never forget what he said to those guys as he grabbed them.

"If you ever manage to get out of prison and come near her again, you'll have me to deal with." He said as he flew them outside to the police.

I spent the night at Clark's apartment that night, since I was too afraid to be home alone. He told me everything that night, about him being Superman. I was a little angry at first, wishing he had told me sooner, but I realized that he had been protecting me from unwanted attention from people like Lex Luthor by not telling me. I told him that him being Superman wouldn't change how I felt for him.

End of flashback

I had just sent the email, when the elevator doors opened. I looked over in confusion, since I was the only one in the building. It was a group of men all dressed in black. But the worst part was, they each had guns. Thankfully, they hadn't seen me yet, so I got down on the floor under my desk, hoping I could get out of here before I got caught. Either that, or try to hide in Perry's office and use the phone on his desk.

I started crawling, being careful to not make any noise. I somehow managed to stay out of sight. But just as I got to the door leading to the stairs, one of the guys, probably the leader, spoke.

"Where is she?" He asked the others. "I thought you said Y/N would be up here!"

I stopped for a brief moment. They were looking for me.

How did they know that I'd be up here? I thought, trying not to panic. Why do they want me?"

"She has to be in the building somewhere." Another guy replied. "Her computer is on."

Shit. I thought. I totally forgot about that.

I could hear them walking around, so I started crawling faster. I had to get out.

I made it to the door, and, after making sure their backs were turned, stood up so I could reach the doorknob. I opened it silently and snuck through.

I turned around as soon as I closed the door, and screamed as I found another guy staring at me. He smirked and pointed his gun at me.

"You must be Y/N." He said. "We've been looking for you. I'll tell you what, sweetheart, I'll make you a deal. If you don't scream or try to escape, we won't kill you. How does that sound?"
