Anger Blinds - Script (Live action concept)

Scene One

Note: This is a single scene that I thought would be cool if it ended up in a future movie. It's not a full story, just a neat little short. It's kinda dumb, but whatever. I think this would be better as a comic, but I'm not good enough at art to even try that. So I wrote it as a script. I usually don't write scripts, but I don't think I could have done a decent job telling the story any other way. I might try to improve my art and make a comic or rewrite in a non script form. If you're an artist and you somehow liked this enough to want to turn this into a comic, let me know.

Also, I don't know where the art I used in the cover came from. I found it on Google Search and couldn't find artists, but it's not my work.

To understand what's happening, you need a little bit of back story. Ellie Wachowski is Tom and Maddie's one year old daughter, and Sonic is like her big brother. Shadow has been introduced to the franchise and even though Tails, Knuckles, and others are around as well, they aren't important to this scene. This could take place before the incident on the Ark, but I think it would need to be after and there are other reasons for Sonic being suspicious of Shadow. Tom and Sonic had gone out, and when they got back, they found out Eggman had attacked Maddie and Ellie back at the house. He set the house on fire and left it ready to blow, but not on purpose. I'm not going to go into detail in that, it's kinda boring and unimportant. But when Tom and Sonic return is when the scene starts.

House is up in flames

Sonic: We were gone for an hour! (Runs closer to the fire) Maddie!

Tom: Sonic, she's over here!

Maddie is unconscious under a tree, a safe distance from the house. Tom is trying to wake her.

Sonic runs to Tom and Maddie: Do you think she'll be okay?

Maddie is waking up, she seems unharmed.

Tom: I think so. Where's Ellie?

Maddie jumps awake: Ellie! She's inside! She was sleeping upstairs when Eggman attacked!

Sonic runs towards the burning house. The house explodes as he reaches the front door, pushing him back.

There is nothing left standing as the explosion fades.

Sonic: No... No! Ellie!

Sonic collapses, horrified and grief stricken: Ellie...

Sonic shifts from broken hearted to angry, clenching his fists: I'll get you for this, Eggman... (His fur starts to turn dark) This time... you've gone too far. And you are going to pay.

A flash of red zooms from behind the debris, headed around the area to reach Tom and Maddie.

Sonic runs to cut off the flash, forcing it to stop before it comes too close to Tom and Maddie.

Sonic: Shadow!

Shadow's quills are smoking slightly and he's clutching his chest.

Sonic: What are you doing here! Where were you a few minutes ago when Eggman attacked!

Shadow: *cough* I was here.

Sonic: Here? But then... you would have done something. Unless you were working with Eggman. Again.

Shadow: Hold o--

Sonic: *sinister chuckle* No, no, no. You're not talking your way out of this one. I had my suspicions before now, but this just cleared everything up.

Shadow takes a few steps back, still holding his arm to his chest: What are you talking about?

Sonic laughs evily.

Maddie: Sonic?

Sonic takes a step towards Shadow: I... have had enough of you.

Tom: Sonic, calm down.

Sonic rushes towards Shadow at incredible speed.

Shadow ducks out of the way, but does not counter attack: Sonic! Stop!

Sonic: You teamed up with Eggman to have Ellie killed, didn't you!

Sonic dashes at Shadow again, aiming to take off his opponent's head.

Shadow dodges again, barely. He twists around and kicks Sonic in the head, sending him flying back into a tree.

Maddie: Sonic!

Sonic is about to get up and attack again when he sees Tom and Maddie. Both of them look horrified, and Tom is on his feet, hand on his gun.

Tom: Stop and look at yourself

Sonic glances at his hands. His fur has completely changed to a dark blue and he has a dark aura surrounding him. He also has no pupils.

Tom: This isn't you, Sonic... We can't lose you too.

Realization crosses Sonic's face and he collapses, his fur fading back to normal.

Maddie hugs Sonic close to her, trying to fight off her tears.

Shadow steps towards Sonic: Are you finished?

Maddie releases Sonic and Tom kneels beside them both.

Sonic glances up at Shadow and nods.

Shadow adjusts his arm, still next to his chest. He's holding something wrapped in burnt cloth.

Sonic points to the cloth: What... what's that?

Shadow unwraps some of the cloth to show Ellie. She is confused but unharmed.

Shadow hands Ellie to Maddie. Maddie starts crying with joy as Tom helps her to her feet.

Shadow grabs Sonic's hand and pulls him to his feet.

Sonic: I... I...

Shadow: I get it. If anyone can understand your reaction to grief, it's me.

Sonic: I... I'm really sorry.

Shadow: I know.

Shadow takes a few steps in the direction of the nearby road. He then turns and waves.

Sonic waves back.

Shadow vanishes in a moving flash of red.
