Emily's POV

Chapter 7

As I wheeled myself into the tower with Deano following behind me, I could see 3 lifeguards with their backs to us talking while looking at the sea. I got to the stairs and asked Deano to pick up my wheelchair and bring it up the stairs for me. When I sat back down in my wheelchair I seen that the 3 of the 4 lifeguards turned around while the other one always kept their eyes on the water.

DEANO: Hey guys, this is Emily

DEANO: Hey guys, this is Emily. Emily this is H, Harries, Hoppo and Maxi.

EMILY: It's nice to meet you all. (smiling at them all)

Hoppo, H, Harries and Maxi said hi then they all sat down around apart from H who was watching the water.

DEANO: Hoppo this the person that recused the man out in the water and treated it as a spinal.

HOPPO: Really! Well thank you Emily. Can I ask what you did?

EMILY: Well, I went swimming and when I got to where I wanted I stopped to look at my surroundings I seemed a young women floating with her head in the water so I swam up to her to see if she was okay. When I found out she wasn't breathing my training kicked in and I see a group of surfers so I yelled at them to come over because I needed their help, when they got their I asked them to get in the water because I needed them to help me get her back to the beach as safely as we can. I then asked one of the surfers for their board so we can put her on, then I told one of the to hold her head still as we lift her onto the board. I then got on to the board as well and started to do CPR, and told the others I need them to push us is as fast as they can without making us full of the board and not to make the board bounce because it can hart her spin if she has done any to it. Then rest well you seen.

HOPPO: Thank you Emily, for reducing her because if you did not by the time, we would have found her it would have been a body retrieval so thank you. (smiling at her)

EMILY: Your welcome. (smiling back at him)

HARRIES: Emily what do you mean when you said your "training kicked in".

EMILY: When I was 18, I joined the British army where I've been jumping ranks from a Private to a Lance-Corporal and so on. When I was 24, I became the youngest ever Captain. A couple years later I become the youngest Major in the army at 26. After I turned 32, I went on a mission in Afghanistan with my team. While me and my team where doing a raid, an explosion went off next to us, causing my team to go flying backwards to the ground unconscious, as I was shooting at the last of the enemy's a grenade was thrown at me it caused me to go flying backwards onto the ground, where I passed out from the pain. When I woke up, I was in the hospital in my hometown and they told me they had to amputate on my leg, or I would have died. From then I started to train again with my prostatic leg. After a year and a half of training and my swimming competitions I went to the Olympics and won gold medal two years in a row setting new records in my swimming time.

All the lifeguards: WOW!

EMILY: Thank you.

HOPPO: No problem Emily, can I ask do you have a job?

EMILY: No, I do not have a job I just got here today from the UK.

HOPPO: Well, how would you like to work here as a lifeguard? (smiling at her)

EMILY: I would love to work with you all. (smiling back)

The rest of the lifeguards cheered loudly, happy that their having a new co-worker.
