Grandfather

When I woke up, Yuri was fanning me.

"Finally, you've been out for hours my arms hurt" I stand up quickly as Yuri stopped fanning me.

"Hours what time is it?"

"Lunch about to start but I let our teachers know that we'd be absent for some of the day, if you ever woke up" Yuri says as she relaxed her arms

"Wanna go half day or just hang out here?"

"Please let's just stay here"

"I was thinking the same thing"

Yuri and I stayed our dorms for the rest of the day, I slept until Grey came knocked on the door. I opened the door with my arms crossed.

"You know when you called me saying that Kaname was going to be on the news, I didn't expect all that" Grey sighed and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Neither did I, nor did Roku. Turns out Kaname said all of that on his own, he was supposed to take about a new movie he's going to be in."

"Whatever, just come in I'm gonna go change." I walk into my room and change out of my pajamas. When I come out Grey isn't in my dorm anymore, I open the door and he isn't there either. I take out my phone and text Grey. Turns out he's in the gym so I hurry to the gym and see him talking to Tanji.

"Hey, why'd you come here?" I walk up to Grey and tug on his sweater sleeve.

"Well something came up so" He said with a smile, looking down at me.

"So we're not going to the cafe anymore?" I say pouting, looking down.

"Actually you are going to the cafe"

"By myself?" I say looking up at him, still pouting

"With your grandpa" He said with a smile, petting me on my head.

"But I have no living relatives, are you going to kill me?" I say stepping back, Grey facepalms and looks at Tanji. My eyes widen and start watering.

"T-tanji is..." I said walking slowly toward Tanji

"Yes, I'm your grandfather" Tanji says with a small smile. I run and jump onto Tanji, hugging him with tears in my streaming down my face. I held Tanji tightly, bawling into his shoulder, Tanji held me back even tighter.

"Wait, you knew all this time?" I lifted his head from his shoulder and looked at him "Why didn't you tell me?"

"If I may," Grey chimes in, I let go of Tanji and face Grey "Your father didn't want you around Tanji, he even stated it in his will"

"Karma remember when you were younger and just starting to learn volleyball?" Tanji says

"Uhhh, yea I was about 3 or 4 and the person teaching me really pushed me hard, even though he was tough on me I felt like he was pushing me really hard to make me better. I had fun playing with him even though he was tough but one day my dad told me that he couldn't play with me anymore. That was you, Tanji?" I looked at Tanji and he nodded. He went on to explain what had happened.

"Your father was concerned about how hard I was pushing you and became upset when I refused to let me teach you anymore. I only pushed you because I wanted you to be the best but your father decided to teach you himself and I was no longer allowed to see you."

"I know your father is probably cursing me from his grave but I had to let you know that you have a living relative." Grey said looking at e with a smile "So how do yo feel knowing that you have a relative?"

"I feel like its a dream but are you my mother's side or father's?"

"I'm your mother's father"

"How did she feel about the will and not being able to see me?"

"Well thanks to her, he can see you whenever you want"

"How?"

"Your mother said to the lawyer that if you should choose to go to school, the only school you can go to is Shiratorizawa and when you do go there yo'd be the volleyball team's manager." Grey said

"But how'd she know you were the manager?"

"She kept in contact behind your father's back"

"I would too, I think dad should've at least asked me how I felt about it but" I turn to Tanji " I'm glad I got to meet you and to find out that we're related"

Tanji and I went to the cafe and we got to catch up after the years. I really enjoyed talking with Tanji and I was so happy to know that I had a relative.
