Rose awoke from his bed in a cold sweat, and examined his surroundings. He looked around and the only thing familiar was a poster marked "Bill Forest and the Leeches". He realized his dream wasn't actually a dream. He was actually spending the summer on a ship. He groaned. "You have got to be kidding me"

He made his way to the main area, and there was Bane and Violet. One of Violet's wristwatches broke and one of her glasses was cracked. Bane looked a lot more laid back then usual, and his pupils were more swirly. "You guys look different," Rose said. "You do too, ya know" Bane replied with a hint of annoyance in his voice. Rose looked at a mirror and realized that his pupil color changed. They used to be pink, but the once rose-gold orbs have changed into a solemn grey. "It was all because of that candy, I took a juice filled gummy and was dizzy the whole night. It made me sleep better though" Bane had continued, finishing the sentence with a strange, shaky smile. "I had a jawbreaker, and everything started turning different colors and melting!" Rose had said

Bane and Rose both looked at Violet, staring at her. "We don't talk about last night. EVER." She said. "Mars, are you sure that was candy?" Snap said, with a concerned tone in his voice. "Of course it is!" Mars had replied, with a sort of carelessness in his voice; he then turned towards the kids and mouthed I don't know. "So THIS is seriously how we are spending our only 3 months of freedom? On a SHIP?!" Rose grouched, angry that he was stuck on a fake pirate ship. "Well, it could be fun. Isn't this everything we ever wanted? A pirate adventure, finding a monster and possibly saving the WORLD!?" Bane replied. Rose remembered when they were kittens, they dreamed of having the best summer ever.

"What if this summer we had an adventure?!" Violet would say, scribbling on paper with a small pack of crayons beside her. "Yeah, what if we found a bad guy, and saved the world!" Bane would say. "Yeah, and on a FLYING PIRATE SHIP!" Rose would yell, remembering his space pirate movies. The kittens made a promise. They would have the summer of their dreams one day, and they'll do it together. However, that summer never came for the little kittens. Until now.

Rose got out of his daze of his childhood memories before he made the deal, and looked at his friends and crew. He realized this is the adventure they've been waiting for.
