Rose had turned away from the rest of the group, and Imy blindly followed. Rose pushed him away, and guided him back to the rest of the group. Rose kept marching. He journeyed into the heart of the garden. There, a fog of smoke appeared. Then a laughing voice. Then an oh-so-familiar silhouette. "Hey there, old buddy old pal! How have you been? Back for a third deal, huh?" it said. Rose could never get used to the fact he talked like a dude-bro-fishing-dad hybrid when he ruined his life. Twice. Actually, three times because he brought Imy to life. So he gave him the rose vine, was the reason he got dragged on this stupid adventure, and now Imy.
"What do you want, plant man?" Rose asked. "What even is your name?"
"Well kid, I don't like names. So call me... 'Mr. Huh'" it said.
"That's the dumbest name I ever heard of in my life." Rose replied. Mr. Huh's eyebrows furrowed. Rose sighed, however, the rose vine was constricting. This was the very spot he made a deal with Mister all those years ago. It was growing tighter and tighter by the second. He felt like he was about to choke. Then, it stopped.
Everything stopped.
He wasn't dead, he knew that for a fact.
Everything was frozen in midair. Then, Imy walked in, blissfully unaware of everything that was happening.
"HELLO!"
"What are you doing here?" Rose asked. Imy just shrugged and pulled him back to the rest of the group. Time had continued like normal and the rose chain started to un-constrict. Rose was confused but grateful. Everyone else turned around and looked at Rose. "Where were you?" Cosmo asked. "I SAW HIM TALKING TO A PLANT MONSTER! IT SAID IT WANTED TO MAKE A THIRD DEAL!" Imy screamed. The crew gasped.
This time, Rose knew he was dead.
