They were in the limo driving away. Mal pressed the lock on the door to make sure it was locked. Ben was looking back, then turned around and took a deep breath.

He looked over at Mal, who was looking back at him.

"I'm really sorry that things didn't go the way you wanted them to." Mal spoke.

"I mean..." Ben paused for a second. "As long as your safe, that's..." Ben tried to finish, but he was panting and still trying to catch his breath.

"I mean, at least I got to see the Isle. They're my people, too." Mal mentioned. "Chad helped me see that." Mal was saying and started t stare.

"Mal, Chad captured you." Ben reminded her.

"He's an angry guy with a bad plan." Mal said and Ben looked at her shocked. "That's not so different from you when you first came to Auradon, Ben."

Ben was still looking at her shocked and Mal was looking at him too. Then they both looked away.

"Awkward." Ma'am said.

"Ma'am..." Doug was going to say, then cleared his throat.

"Ma'am, I know you can talk, but it doesn't always mean you should." Jane explained to her.

"Here we go." Lonnie said as they were getting close to the barrier. Then she pressed the button.

As they were driving it was silent, then Jay spoke up. "Why don't you stop by practice a little early today."

Lonnie smile and looked over at Jay "Isn't that breaking some rules?"

Jay scoffed and replied. "No."

Lonnie looked a little confused, but continued to drive.

When they got back they were all walking towards the courtyard.

"I'll get these back to the gym." Jay told Lonnie.

"Thanks." Lonnie responded.

"See you later." Jay said before leaving.

"Mal! There you are. Cotillion's tonight." Carlos said holding tablet and walked up to Mal. "Come here. Look." He showed Mal the tablet with the stained-glass she made for Ben. "This is stained-glass for Ben. Isn't it amazing? He's gonna love it."

Mal didn't answer his question. She leaned to Ben to ask him something. She put her hand on his back and he looked over. "Do you want to cancel?"

"Um, you know what? I can come back. Uh, but like, really, really soon." Carlos was saying.

"No, no, no." Mal interrupted and looked away from Ben at Carlos. "No, no, no. Now's fine. Um..." She leaned over and looked at the tablet again. Then leaned back over to Ben. "Do whatever you need to do." Then her and Carlos walked away.

"We need to talk." Doug said as him and Ben started walking.

"Yeah." Ben agreed.

"No." Jane stopped them.

"'No'?" Doug asked as him and Ben stopped and turned to the two girls.

"You guys are always going off in a huddle, whispering your guy talk stuff or whatever, and Lonnie and I are tired of it." Jane told them.

"I'm not." Lonnie admitted and Jane looked over at her. "It means we can have more girl-talk."

Jane rolled her eyes at Lonnie and looked back at the guys. "We're your family, too. We've been through a lot. Together. I'm not stopping that now. Okay? Everyone, sit." Jane immediately sat down. She looked up at Lonnie. "Come on." Jane was still holding Ma'am and she whined. "You, too."
