Gilbert's POV.

I was walking to school that morning the air smelt like spring which he loved. Then he heard Billy the one person who he disliked Gilbert never wanted to ever dislike someone but he had his reasons when it came to Billy. He decided to go see what the ruckus was about, then he saw he. Her hair was as red as fire and she had skin as white as snow but had these little freckles all over her which made her look perfect. I wanted to know her right away, And apparently Billy was making front of her because of her looks which I found VERY weird because why would you make front of someone so beautiful, then some thing about his sister Prissy but I didn't really want to know any thing that involved the Andrews. I started asking if he was playing some sort of game, he said no then I said that we would get going because we wouldn't want to be tardy. After Billy left she walked get fast for some reason. Then for some stupid reason I asked 'Any dragons around here need slaying' which was the worst idea I've ever had. She responds with an no and and a quick thank you. It didn't satisfy me with just an 'no' or an 'thank you' so I followed her even more and kept asking want on earth her name was but she just ignoring me which made me want to know her even more. Then we arrived to the school house. I opened the door for her then she said that she was sorry she was ever rude then she said her name was Anne. Before I could even say my name I got pulled away by my friends but I wanted to talk to Anne. The first thing I got asked was why I would walk with an ugly orphan girl like her which made me sad she was an orphan I didn't care if I just met her 10 minutes ago I steal felt bad for her being an orphan and all must be really hard. Then they said that she was ugly I really don't know any one would find her of my I thought she was really pretty, then I replied 'a cute girl is a cute girl' and that it didn't matter where she came from. I REALLY wanted to know more about her so when finally lunch arrived I got up to find her. She was outside alone by a stream that put our milk in to keep it cold. A got an apple and went out side she was on stump eating a sand which. Then I tried to offer my apple but she wouldn't even look at me but kept mumbling something but I couldn't here a thing then all of an sudden she got said that she couldn't talk to me and walked away. Now i wanted to know her even more. I was almost the end of the day then I came up with an a great idea or so I thought. I kept throwing little pieces of paper at here she wouldn't even budge then walked up to her desk and put an apple on her desk and said oops she still wouldn't look at me, then I pulled her beautiful res hair and said carrots in that moment she out slate and slapped me across my face and shouted IM NOT TALKING TO YOU! Then every one was looking at me and Anne but I don't care one whip because she finally looked at me and said something. Me being as happy as I could be and replied ' you just did' . Then Stupid Mr. Phillips stated yelling at her for no reason! I stood up and said that it was me who he should be mad at and that he should punish me instead of her then Mr. Phillips said it didn't matter what I did and that she was in the fault. He made her come up to the board and then he wrote on the board that Ann Shirly had a very bad temper. She ran right out of the class room running faster than any other girl in the class I really wanted to follow her but I would made things even worse. When I walked home that night I regretted ever calling her carrots that I got her in trouble and besides her hair didn't even look like carrots it looked like that really red when the sun was rising or even the color of a rose. The only thing that he wanted to was fine out where she was and say that he was really sorry and that he only wanted to talk to her.
