"Um. Hi. Yes. Sorry." I mumbled, not being able to tear my view away from those amazing eyes.

Ben's expression changes. "Hey, I know you! You were at Blaze pizza! Tori, right?"

"Oh. Um. Yep. Tori. That's me."

COULD I BE MORE STUPID? Omigodheremembersmyname.

He laughs nervously. He probably thinks I belong in a psych ward. Which I might. Next thing I know my hand is in another very soft and warm and not sweaty at all hand and I'm being pulled off the ground. He lingers a little before letting go when I'm up and stable, but it's probably just my imagination.

"Well, Tori. Now we're both late, so we may as well walk together."

Ben's POV
I just kind of held hands with a pretty girl omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg.

*back to Tori's POV*
And then I walk to rehearsal with Ben Cook. And I spend rehearsal trying not to stare at Ben Cook. I was only 50% successful.

I'm leaving rehearsal, texting Taylor if she wants anything from Starbucks when I hear a familiar voice behind me.

"Hey, Tori!"

And I turn around and stare into the blue eyes of Ben Cook.

Whyyyy does this keep happening to meeeee.

"Um." He shoves his hands into the pocket of his pink (duh) Mean Girls hoodie. I try to put my hands in my hoodie pocket before realizing I don't have a hoodie on. Awkward, much?

Ben clears his throat. "I was wondering if you maybe wanted to go get some coffee? Or tea? Or something at Starbucks?"

I feel a blush and a smile spreading across my face.

"Actually, I was just heading there to get something for my roommate. So, sure!"

He smiles. "Oh. Cool! Well, let's go!" He opens the door for me (how gentlemanly!) and I catch a strong but very delicious smelling wiff of cologne and the soap in the bathrooms here.

We walk to the Starbucks just down the block from the theater, making small conversation on the way. He holds the door open for me again (AHH) with a small smile and I get that same breath of a good smelling man. Lovely.

I walk up the counter and order for Taylor and I.

"One grande peach iced tea with light ice and one vente black coffee." I tell the woman at the counter who, according to her name tag, is Margie.

"7.20, please." Margie says without a hint of enthusiasm. Even I had more enthusiasm when I worked here! C'mon, girl.

"I got it." Ben starts handing over a ten.

"What?! No! Ben, I can pay." I try and grab the bill out of his reach while trying to hand Margie a twenty. She glances between us, unsure of which to take, and also looking annoyed that we're spending a lot of time trying to pay.

Ben looks at our dear new friend Margie. "Margie, if you take my money AND NOT HERS, you can be my new best friend." Margie gives a small smile and looks at me.

"Sorry kid, on a date, the guy always pays. Plus, I need another friend." She takes the money out of his hand.

My eyes go wide and I take a side glance at Ben.

"Oh, um, no-" He starts to say, but she cuts him off.

"Believe me, I know two people who like each other when I see it. Enjoy your drinks." She smirks.

We awkwardly head to the end of the counter to grab our drinks and head out the door where I get my third wiff of the new fragrance by Benjamin Tyler Cook in a matter of 20 minutes. Heaven.

We start walking down the sidewalk.

"Um," Ben begins. "Not trying to make this weird or anything, but, uh, do you want this to be a date?" He glances over at me, a small smile playing on his lips.

I look down for a sec, then back up at him. I go for Brave Tori, not Shy Tori.

"I mean, yeah. If you want it to be."

His smile grows. "Definitely."
