Prologue

I was sitting on my chair when I heard the girls talking about something. I focused my attention to them pero hindi ako nagpahalatang nakikinig ako.

"Ikaw naman, Shine! Ano'ng gusto mo sa isang lalaki?" Sharmaine asked, one of my classmates-- she's also one of Shine's friends.

"Ang gusto ko sa lalaki? I want someone who's matured enough to understand everything about me. I want someone who can take a good care of me even at the times I don't need it. I want someone who could understand my weirdness and would never leave me despite all of those. Gusto ko ng isang lalaki na maiintindihan lahat ng nasa isipan ko. Isang lalaki na makaiintindi na ang ibang mga bagay na big deal o malaking problema sa iba ay normal nalang sa 'kin. Someone who could understand what I feel even without me spilling it out. Someone who could love me for who I am and not for who the people around me knew." She answered that made all of us stared in awe. She really is something.

That's all she wanted. She wanted someone who could love everything about her.
